Giving away account: Legality?
Is giving away accounts illegal?
I know sharing and trading is, but what if you have an account that you don't play anymore, is it legal to give it to someone else who perhaps doesn't have a very good account?

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.
Just repeat for multiple effects.
DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

Technically NO. You cannot share passwords so it would be impossible to give away an account without breaking that rule.

they would have no way to find out if you gave away an account...
but thats just a side note you definatly shouldnt do cus its bad and wrong and glitch will prob monitor your account now to check that you dont

hmm apart from the fact tht the ip address will be different, the new player is likely to change the email, and if its an existing player, its likely to be the same...
but tbh i dont think its a big problem, its only in the rules so u cant hold glitcless inc responsible for any loss due to breaking the rule, a disclaimer.

idt glitchless really cares about giving away accounts...he unbanned an account that was given away cause it hadnt been the owners in forever (xulos's alt poopewface) and everyone knows people like trojan are no longer the real owners

Although it would be possible for the person who is getting the account to tell you what password they would LIKE the account to have. You then change the password, and log out.
In this case, you have not 'shared' the password. After all, you have never told them what the password is, or what it is going to be in the future.

So does this mean Trojan is getting the axe? She openly admits to not being the original in chat. Glitchless needs to be consistent. Either ban all, or ban none.
Personally, I would say ban none. I don't care if Trojan or anyone else takes over someone's account with permission. I do think it tends to remove the 'personal' touch, but whatever. Consistency, Glitchless. You did it to PooPoo, with this being a reason. yet you unban someone else after finding out they are not the original. So either ban Trojan, or change your rules. Sorry for using you as an example, Trojan. Too much confusion over this crap though. And you're kinda dumb for admitting it on open chat.

Personally, i think giving accounts away should be fine so long as the account isn' shared... however... to monitor that fact is costly in time and money and to assume everyone won't break the rules is idiocy....
Kind of a rock and a hard place.... btw poopoo got bant for badmouthing glitchless and nodiatis... for a long long time. I think he got squelched like 5 times prior for it, can't say he wasn't warned.

No one has been banned for sharing accounts. They've been banned for doing stupid ---- with the accounts they received.

I am aware of the full reasons Poo was banned. And I support the ban in that case. But one of the things Glitch mentioned in his post there was that Poo openly admitted sharing and that was a factor.
Prior to that however, someone posted in the AH forum that they had 2 alts they didn't want and were free to whomever took them first. Glitch immediately banned both alts.
