Default PvP in nod

So, I was wondering.... Half of nod is PvP... We have the farming part down pretty good, and Arena is a nice little chance to PvP if you like to wait to get matches... but out of all the work people pour into their toons, wouldn't it be nice or more PvP friendly if we all figured out some way to have more wars.... I mean seriously... If we spend all this time and money getting a toon to end game, only to continue to level skills just cause thats all we have to do.... pretty lame, however I'm addicted to nod so I will always spend money on it lol.

Anyway the point is I think there should be a few more options in the war department...

Such as:


Like we can 1V1 duel... why don't we have an option were 2 clans can war, but the loser doesn't loss the runes they have... nor dom... sort of like an rp war or something? That has a time limit of a week then it ends... else it would probably never end... sort of like a friendly skirmish or something. I don't really have any OMG blow your mind idea... sort of hoping people comment on this with some of their ideas and we can sort of build off each other.... I just think that in a game like this, where the whole point is the build of your toon, whether it be for crafting, farming, pvp regardless.. that there is more PvP too it other then just a few random duels and arena... Pkers are few and far between once you hit end game...

I know many don't wanna war but this is PvP game, I just would like to see something done with the war system to where people would be encouraged to war more, hence putting more PvP back into nod...

Other then that thanks Glitch for all your hard work.. looking forward to new things in the future

I think is better if a player loose a battle in a duel or clan battle shoud loose some gold (5% for example) and if that player is PK-ed should loose 10% of gold. Also a PK should loose just 10% of gold and just one pieces od armour or weapons and no deleveled at all.

Trag, check out my thread "Clan territory modification"

It offers a way to make proper use of territory, and demands and requires REAL war to stay strong as a clan. Would mostly eliminate fake wars while making real war a fact of life for every clan.

Let clans get some advantage if there willing to let all other clans force war on them. Or allow force war with penalties. Or there could be a new clan rank like fanatic that makes you able to fight all other fanatics that aren't in your clan. Perhaps with a bonus like you can farm more RP off of mobs.

The stakes of losing a clan war or of being pkk'd are so drastic that there is a tremendous thrill when somebody attempts those challenges.

Although it would be nice to have some sort of "light" clan war, and although many people would subscribe to it, I think that kind of option would completely abolish anybody's desire to use the more drastic options. The lose all rp, terr, dom, runes type of war would never happen again.

Do we care? I don't know.
But I do think that any changes made would have to be thought out very carefully.

The only thing I can think of would be, perhaps, some sort of gambling. Since lots of players want to duel for money and then the loser will almost always stiff the winner, it may be interesting if people could place a gold/item wager on a duel.
It's possible that even that would be shunned by people who don't want to put their money where their mouth is, but it's an idea. Unless it's illegal, somehow.

Fixing the clan war problem is probably too complicated to make suggestions for.

However, I would subscribe to clan battles outside of clan war. Perhaps, in order to gain terr/dom/rp, something, somebody could initiate a random attack on a member from another clan. That way, clans can be provoked to war. Of course, there could be level range requirements. But having two clans agree to war without provocation and without any risk except the risk of EVERYTHING - well, that isn't working. I should be able to slay some lv. 75 REV and end up causing a war if they retaliate.

I'm sure there's lots of better ideas to sort through. I just want to force people to pay up when they lose a duel.
