been thinkin about the classes myself,even tho I dun like the upcomin patch,if u take out the class abilitys for the second class ppl will still be unique in chars and would not loose their mojo,u should have only 1 class ability (obviously the one u choose first) and u only get the bonus for the second class as class enchantment and class specialization,just my humble opinion

im not sure why every one assumes there gonna get there secondary classes class ability. it seems pretty obvious that they wouldn't add the CA since it would make to many op classes

Nobody knows how this will be implemented, so it's tough to comment just yet. It looks like it will be incredibly difficult to implement without, as Music says, rubbing away the fine line that differentiates players from each other.
Have to say, I'm scratching my head and wondering how this will work effectively. It seems that bored players (ie players who wasted/spent days on end capping their players eons ago) want this more and this is to appease those players and the players unhappy with their current class.
No reason why Glitch can't cater for them, but as always, it's a case of balacing that out against everyone else who isn't interested in a second class. I think it's a tough ask.

I like this idea, wonder how it will be implemented like the rest.
I don't know where the 50% ability of 2nd class comes from but I would like to see it be a 100% one.
My reasoning is the following: I have always had and always will have difficulty with gamechanges that have a major effect on gameplay. The implementation of abilities was such a gamechange. Had ability as is been there from day 1 I would have chosen a different class for my caster, Angel of course. Right now I dislike I have a caster with a weaker ability and even more so that I have a priest that like an Angel can resurrect howveer does not have a resurrect ability but a healing one.
Hence I would LOVE for the 2nd class to have a 100% ability so I can also have the ability I would have chosen for my caster.
And errrm coming back to the coming soon skills... we still have 2 in social that haven't been implemented yet. Can those PLEASE also be implemented around the time we get the 2nd class?

Yeah, Dennis, I agree totally about the gameplay changes... it's fine and all to say that you don't want classes to be blurred... but so far, if a major gameplay change changed out the role you thought your class would play when you originally picked it, the only option you have is to reroll. Rerolling is fine and all when you've spent a modest amount of time/money/work on a char, but not for those who spend hundreds of dollars, months to years of time, and hours every day... rerolling then is a bull**** option.
If multi-classing allows some chars who are unhappy with their class, or bored with it, or unhappy with how restrictive it feels, to get an opportunity to add a new set of skills/options without screwing those who are happy with their primary one, I think that this would be a great patch. And tbh, looking at which classes are complaining - no offense Music/Neo/etc. - it is convenient to push back against this when you happen to have the Angel ability, or the suddenly-needed guardian block bonus, etc. Notice there are 0 Regenners/Wep.Masters/Rangers/Alchoholics/etc. complaining.

Well this idea is creative for sure; however, the lack of information about this patch makes it hard to discuss.
Here is what i have to say on the matter:
1. If Class abilities for both jobs are to be avaliable then the second class ability should be 50% as if it was the main. So if the character is 85 then the second class ability should be that of a 42.
2. Second class bonuses should also be half of what it should be if the main. Afterall it is a second class and should be as strong as your main.
3. Limit what can be your second craft, i.e. the crafting/trading jobs. Now those that are already one of them jobs should be allowed to change their main without losing their hard work. Unlikely that would take into effect since there is many people that would like to change their jobs. Suggest an item like a time card to be used to do that.
All i can say is glitch needs to give more information on the matter. While a due date is nice to have. I rather have the information on what the heck it is going to do. I guess it can be kinda like a birthday gift, you dont know what is inside, it could be anything. Bad or good stuff is nice to know.
(btw Regenners are always asking for something so give them a bone)

I would say, boost the main class, dont make another! Add another stat skill that boosts current ability even further. There is no use of 4k angel heal against decent boss that hits for 10k... got the idea?

if you used a crafter/trader you would make quite a bit of money soo that may be a good option for people just based on the amount of money made

Ok i have the solution and the best idea, reading smash/arach/dtm/music/neo/etc.... i came to the conclusion that some players are happy to have what they have as an ability and bonuses, angel doesnt want others to be able to have their ability cause its unique and op, guardians dont want others to be as good tanks as they can be, this is obvios...however people that are not happy with their classes or abilities want others ability, this is obvios as well.
So... i came with or actually i support even more the way to be able to have others abilities and bonuses VIA quest/missions,etc.
For example: i dont want everyone to have an angel ability cause it would suck, however i would like to have the option that by doing some DIFFICULT task like for example been able to kill X boss or as a priest been able to resurrect a player by killing a huge boss ( resurrecting it at the end of the fight ofc) "x" times would allow him to get that op ability but not for ever.
Like what i am trying to suggest is , let us get certain things but not for ever , why? because this way the game will have a continual and entertaining way to play it like zomg i want to get that boss but i need some extra abilities of that and that but i need to work hard in order to get them
Or zomg i want to get bonuses to craft but i need to get X tiers 30 of that and that in order to get those bonuses for like a week, or zomg i want to get the escape or 10 seconds invulnerable to damage but i need to go pk and pk X players in order to get that ability for X days.
I hope this make sense and let me tell you if you need to delay the patch to make this happen it will be the key to take nod to the next lvl.

also for those worried about lack of info check the other forums on 2nd classes. alot of us have posted a bit about it. and glitch, i believe, is taking our ideas.

Yea i wouldnt support the idea if is not implemented the way Smash/relic said about the type of quest/missions and tasks that you should do in order to obtain certain things otherwise it will be the freaking same type of game just with 2 new skills and thats just stupid as it can be.

Amen to that. Missions/quests could make the game more fun besides grinding all day long. I mean there is not really a story line, well there is but how many want to read a post about a story? I want missions to save the girl!

Oo bad reviews for secondary classes? This comes as a surprise.
I have some couple questions/concerns.
Would a hybrid player receive all the benefits of a second class or would they receive something different?
Will players be limited in terms of classes that they may hybridize with?

Letting all classes freely mesh with one another would only give rise to illogical abominations and a trend we'd see is players flocking to the most (lets be honest) OP classes. I won't name them now but they know who or which they are. (They are generally opposed to this update for this reason.) Why should we go adventurer when a warrior gives a bonus to farm speed, or a warrior when a BM can give you a bonus to pet damage and heals. Why?
If different classes were limited to different classes, glitchless could more easily implement hybrid class abilities (It makes sense to me. I'm not sure if it does to you). Less powerful classes will still be unique and wanted. But hey, its fine if you just give everyone a second class. I'm sure some players would be psyched about that...
