Attempt Timed out?

I'm trying to join the game and each time I try to create a character the last part says server timed out try again. Its 1235am EST there shouldn't be a huge load on the server and I've been trying for about an hour now. Any idea on what the problem is?

Even at peak usage the server load has never exceeded 6%. If you're having timeouts it must be due to some serious connection problems or an old client. Let us know:
Your operating system
The browser you are using
The version number listed on the bottom right of your client
Where you are trying to connect from

at work XP pro, i get like 100mb/s here, internet explorer ... they like to block a lot of stuff on me like movie dl sites, my bodybuilding.com (who knows why on that) and myspace. But if the site was blocked it wouldn't time out it would give the red screen of death lol. Maybe the java or something like that is blocking it?? It worked at home but also now when I go to log into my character it says your updating announcements or something for the past 3 hours. Must be some exciting stuff lol.

Other people are having problem accessing it from work as well, it's blocking the initial SSL connection. There's no way around it beside finding another method of internet connection.

Yes, I cannot run it here at work either, just a curiousity, but what port is Java/Nodiatis loaded through anyway?
