upgrade guardians ability
allow it to be cast as a group skill. maybe doing 50% of the max protection to all members of a group
and giving 100% protection on self. of course that would prob have to up its cooldown time hmmmm....OR maybe allow him to guard party members negate teams damage and takeing 50% of it on himself ....

I have a Guardian, the class ability is really good but weak... however it is more oriented for long fights in PvE i think.
You can use it on team mates as well so i dont understand what he is complaining, it will be lovely i you could get a higher Damage Absorption Shield on higher lvl mobs though because it does not help much against black bosses where all the others shine as well or better ( like the mes,stun, devamps, 10seconds invulnerably, 10seconds blind, or damage that you deal from abilities)
I dont know if you see my point , i hope you do because the higher the mob is the less the ability shines, unlike the others that shine more because is harder to hit a black mob and is more the damage that you avoid stunning or mesmerizing it.

Can someone tell me very very roughly how much damage the CA absorbs per level? Does it grow linearly, exponentially? I assume nobody knows the exact number since it is never shown in game, but someone must have experience with observing when exactly the shield breaks, etc. Even if you give me the number only for lvl 85 (or any lvl for that matter) I'll still be grateful.

its not linear im not sure exactly how it increases but its like 1 per level at low levels and 300 or something at cap im not sure i know at level 13 its 21

The problem with the guardian ability is it is worthless in arena compared to other ones, and I know as a guardian I had a lot of defense, so I definitely didn't need it in pve. Here's the problem as I see it in arena.
Angel CA heals for nearly all HP or revives, has an instant cooldown when you enter arena. Ranger CA hits for over 1k, has an instant cooldown when you enter arena. Enchanter CA has a mes/stun, has an instant cooldown when you enter arena. BM does 1500? damage, has an instant cooldown when you enter arena. GUARDIAN does a 500ish absorb, has an instant cooldown when you enter arena. A ranger CA, for example, cuts right through the guardian CA and does 500 damage. A decent melee crit cuts right through it and does damage too, and a magic crit will make it look like it never existed. I don't believe in buffs that put one class over another, but perhaps the guardian CA could use a reworking to the point where it can stand against other CAs in arena.

Thank you for the answer guys. I was not expecting the skill to do miracles, being on a 2 min cooldown and all, but what you are saying seems more horrible than anticipated. 500 absorb at 85 seems tiny to me. I'm starting to reconsider the guardian class as my 2nd, although the class bonus is still sweet.

I agree, it is practically useless. Especially at low levels. I think it absorbs like 24 damage.

it has the shortest cool down duh its not gonna do as much as a CA with a longer cool down get over it

The point is, guardian is primarily a PVP class, why does it have such a crappy PVP skill? 500 absorb on a 2 minute cooldown, where angel has a 3k+ heal on a 20 minute cooldown. Makes sense till you think about the fact that primary pvp now is arena, so the angel gets an instant cooldown. So it's basically guardian times 6.
On the other hand I don't think any CA really needs to be buffed or nerfed, but perhaps it could be made so CAs don't instantly cool down when you enter arena.
