With enough bandwidth and computing power, a gold farming company can easily exploit this (this is the reference to hoards of asian children in basements farming gold that Jeff likes to use).

And that's why free accounts aren't allowed to trade.

So its alright for someone with money to do that? I think trophies should be untradeable anyway.

These are not extremes, when there gets to be a bunch of people playing the game, there will be a demand from a small niche; and where there is demand, someone will try to supply.

I do not think that Jeff has any problems with people selling things for real money, but whenever it happens, there is a large chance of scamming happening, unless you have a secure in-game trading feature for it (i.e. Time cards and why they are only available via Pay-By-Cash.)

As it is going, as more people upgrade, the economy will get better for the people with upgraded accounts. In fact, I have 2 premium accounts, going to set up a third when I figure out what class I want it to be.
