Playable Gems

It would be kinda nice if you could play "one touch" gems straight from the "gem dispenser". That way when all your gem slots were filled up with auras/ etc. you could still play certain gems straight from where you drag them from.

Currently the system allows you so click and drag or drag gems into place. By changing this to drag only, you could denote a click as an "instant play" for those gems which are "one touch".


what do you think... idea just came to me when i had auras/ heals out and i really wanted to play a DOT that was just sitting there and I thought to myself, "if it's sitting there, why cant i play it? regardless if its in a gem slot"


Short and sweet: make gem's playable straight out of gem draw

I like it, but isn't that the point?
You can only have 4,5,6 gemslots, and you have to choose whether to keep gems or replace them?

So, we are going to further make casters "OP" by giving them an extra gem slot?

I support the idea happens to me part of the time (usually while tanking)

To Sherman its not making casters more OP it benefits everyone and doesn't really speed up gem casts any.

Who gets the most benefits to gem casts, especially DDs?

Exactly, just like Hemorrhage is mainly effecting piercers, but everyone else can use it.

It doesn't speed up casts?

It allows for an extra gem slot to cast from which could inevitably, with the right draws of course, increase damage output, or heal output, dramatically.

So, instead of having to replace one of your 6 gems already in a slot, you have a 7th slot, leaving your gem play nice and pretty, which takes away from the strategy.

The whole point of ONLY SIX GEM SLOTS AT THE MOST is to allow for strategy. "What gem do I need the most?" should be your question every time a gem comes up.
