As has been mentioned many times by many different people, storage is a huge problem for crafters.
Some things that take up space are as follows:
1) Tradeskill tools, take up one entire row or more by themselves.
2) Some space must be left empty by necessity for trophy storage, for the times when one is grinding and farming.
3) Crafting suit takes up space, as does a pvp suit if a person is using one. Add to that the equipment that one has gotten in drops but is not using currently due to a lack of an adequate skill level.
4) Completed items that the crafter is trying to sell on the auction house take up space.
5) the many different tiers of the many different resources that a crafter needs take up a copious amount of space
6) Recipes take up space as do various other things that I am sure I can not recall at the moment.

When this potion update came out, I was eager to try my hand at potion making. However, I soon realized that storage space was going to be a major problem. 4 to 5 different master recipes from just one potion type was just too much of a burden on my already limited storage space. Here is an idea about how this problem could be dealt with:

Recipe books: Behold
The potion book itself takes up only 1 space in a crafter's storage. Once the book is opened it has a compartment, similar to storage where multiple master recipes (only) can be placed. In order to place the recipe into the book, the crafter drags the recipe into a slot when the book is opened. Once the alloted storage space in the book is full, another book of the same sort must be purchased for further storage.
Once the recipe has been placed in the book, it can no longer be removed.
In order to use the master recipe after it has been placed in the book, one has to right click on the recipe and select the option: create field copy. Once the field copy has been created, it can, for all intents and purposes, be identical to the master recipe and have the same functionality.
[A field copy always requires a tier 1 dye and a tier 1 cloth to create and is not variable like the dye and cloth requirement of the consumable; this will increase consumption of lower level resources and give an impetus to lower levels who want to get into crafting since their products would be more desirable. ]
Idea by thatPerson:
Make the field master copy soul bound so that it can not be sold; circumvents a potential exploit where crafters could sell cheap copies of their master recipes for gold.

This type of recipe book can be created for all of the recipe types:
An armor recipe book
A fletching recipe book
A weapon crafting recipe book
etc etc etc.

Or glitchless can be nice and make this one relatively simple, and just give us one storage book that can hold an unlimited number of recipes of any type.

Or even simpler, just implement an additional storage compartment where only tradeskill tools, resources, and recipes can be placed. This can resemble the current storage option, with the exception that only the abovementioned items could be placed in it.

Idea by Middington:
The language skill could be tied into this in the following manner:
[SIZE="2"]Language skill: A language skill that is equal to or greater than the level of a master recipe, will allow the crafter to store the master recipe by writing it down in a recipe book for a maximum of 50 recipes per book; once the language skill has exceeded 50, each additional point will add one page to the recipe book and allow for the storage of one additional recipe per book.
Crafters please support. Everybody else, I hope you like the idea and offer some support too. It is time for crafters to get some love too.
Cheers.
