the thing is nodgod that bosses now have only 1 chance to drop loot cause random weaponry/armor drops are rare (i get about 1 a day) so making it so u could get one every minute owuld make it completely pointless to kill anything else in the game

Ok, so i read nomicons post...

whats the difference between static boss and random boss? Is it like a boss that can be of any level or something? How often do you run into a random boss? Why doesn't loot drop off of a random boss?

Seems silly for you to kill a boss and get absolutely nothing.

In fact this may be the only rpg i have ever heard of that you cant get a drop off of a boss after killing it

diablo
warcraft
etc

if a random boss is already rare...why not enable drops off of it?

Why do you guys hate nomicon?

they are the same lvl u dont get loot from a random but u do get twice as much exp for killing a boss as you do for a mob of the same lvl

the problem is that they arent rare i sometimes get 3 random mountain goats just walking in between atlimus and burdinia (t4 and t5) i killed at least 500 of them while they werent grey for me so judging by this i should have gotten several epics? putting a chance of normal loot isnt bad imo but epic is just too much

....nomitard is just that a retard put simply search posts by him and u should figure out why we dislike his attitude

Well, its a long story nodgod.

I guess the big trigger is that i started a hot chick forum thread and along the course of the discussion a moderately popular female player got her feelings hurt.

and well.... let's just say it got out of hand from there.

The bottom line is that there are a couple of very snobbish older community members around here who have been playing this game for quite some time and tend to treat newcomers with alot of hostility for no reason.

Just so you know there are also many older members who feel the same way as I do... So don't be scared of anyone around here....and freely speak your mind.

I think its really funny how a low level new player to this game can see the flaw in logic of killing a boss and getting nothing for it...yet you guys think this is a foolish idea.

For the record Nodgod,

random encounters are already fairly rare occurences, they are not directly farmable, and adding drops from this particular mob, while a player is in the correct level range would have almost no impact on the economy... it would just make it worth while to kill the monster instead of fleeing.

The people disagreeing in this thread are completely out of thier minds thinking this would drastically alter epic droprates.

If a player kills a regular mob, something he/she can do over and over all day long... trophies and chances for epic loot are there. If a player kills a random boss....which they have no control over when or where they will face it...and is quite rare and HARDER TO KILL.... there is absolutely no loot.

Not even a trophy.

Adding the standard loot table and epic drop rates to these special and rare types of mobs would have a miniscule effect on overall droprates.

i havent even seen a random boss yet today...but ive killed a great many standard mobs...each one having a chance at epic loot.

How would adding the 2-3 times you see a NON GREY RANDOM BOSS per day drastically alter epic droprates?

It's only 2-3 more chances per day, and right now I can just go out and kill 2-3 more standard mobs to have the exact same effect.

THIS IS ALL IM ASKING:

standard loot table applies to non grey random encounters... perhaps even a further bonus is that at least 1 of each trophy availiable in that zone drops from the boss.

Make it worthwhile to kill these mobs.

Make them fun and exciting, vs a pain in the ass fleefest.

It really is a no brainer.

Ill keep bringing this up till i get an answer from jeff, ive yet to see anyone here offer a good explanation as to why this would be a bad idea.

Can someone please explain to me how adding a chance for epic loot in a 100% farmable static scenario is not detrimental to the economy vs adding that same chance to completely random boss encounters...which are not farmable and happen way less often?

I understand, random boss encounters can happen an infinite number of times.....

But so what, the same odds are already there on every other mob in the game which can be killed and farmed with 100% accuracy, easier and an infinite amount of times.

If I am so wrong about this

why do we all flee from random boss encounters?

Cuz there is no point in killing them.

nomitard (lol)..the main reason is because then people could farm bosses, and glitchless would need to change stuff on every boss. and then people would want boss trophies more chance drops etc. i would like something to drop also, but they way it is right now is more fair.

You guys spend alot of wasted time trying to annoy and insult me...but no one can answer this direct question:

How would adding the standard loot table to a non grey random boss encounter be exploitable, or substantially increase epic droprates? Why do we all flee when a random boss encounter occurs?

I am asking for the same drop possibilities that occur off a regular mob to happen on random boss encounters.....How would this be any different than farming regular mobs?

You can kill standard mobs as of now over and over and no one has a problem with this type of farming.

Ok i get it now im pretty sure. To be honest i don't know if nomicon is an idiot or not, but what he suggests makes a lot more sense to me than just running away from random bosses the entire game. All i know is that it is kind of dumb to have no reward for killing a boss.

No one seems to be able to offer an explanation as to why it would be bad to have standard loot drops off of random boss encounters. If the same stuff already drops off of regular mobs...why not at the bare minimum add it to random bosses?

I can see with a first time static boss, because you could fight that boss over and over again deliberately.....but even then.....you can already fight regular mobs over and over again...so what would the difference be?

Any of the people throwing stones care to explain how this would increase epic drop rates so much it would ruin the game?

I dont flee from randoms, I kill them, because I quite enjoy the 2x exp for a fight that doesnt take 2x as long.

Uh... maybe for you but I'm only low level, and I can kill 3 for sure...maybe 4 or 5 regular mobs in the time it takes me to kill a single boss...thats way more XP, plus trophies, which makes it even more xp really....

I think i agree with nomitard on this one...

killing 3 regular mobs means 3 chances at epics
killing 3 regular mobs means 3 chances at XP rush and gold rush
killing 3 regular mobs means 3 chances at trophies

killing 3 bosses means zero chance at epics, and zero trophies, 1 chance at XP/ gold rush AND it takes longer. Killing bosses is therefore a waste of a timecard after the first time.

Id like to make a request for random bosses drop loot as well...this is a flaw in the game in my opinion. No one has offered an explanation mathematically or logically how this would alter epic drop rates and ruin the game? It seems you all want to disagree but without explaining anything?

Again, can anyone explain why is this a bad idea?

Lol listen to the newb guys.... his post sums it up perfectly...

NON GREY RANDOM BOSS ENCOUNTERS SHOULD HAVE THE STANDARD DROP TABLE PLUS A MINUMUM OF ONE OF EACH TROPHY IN THAT ZONE TO MAKE THEM WORTHWHILE.

END OF DISCUSSION.

I will change my point of view if glitchless or someone else can explain how this would drastically ruin the games economy....

this update could potentially make more money for jeff by:

increased RT consumption due to longer bossfights more often
slightly more virtues needing to be purchased

and also make random bossfights fun and exciting for all players at every level.

Wheres the downside??????????????????

its a bad idea for them to drop epics at a set rate cause it would be a completely seperate epic loot table and would nearly double the quantity of epics in the game....i said it was fine for it being just nonepic drop chance from randoms but to have epics would be a bad idea imo
