AH item stack spliting

I was talking to a friend, and we were thinking, it might be an awesome idea...since people have a limited amount of storage space/auction slots, if you were able to instead of "message seller" you could click on "purchase X amount" type in the amount, have a price quoted and click okay....
seeing how i have stacking of 70, and try and sell oils, dyes, cloths, threads, scales, ingots, planks and geodes, i do not have the storage to do 20 stacks of 5 just to sell them. (even if i were to split it up onto 2 chars) if i were able to have the stack of 70 up at once, and someone were able to buy, say 7 of them, that would be awesome, of course, it would have to automatically update with a new total price in the storage/ah....
do you get what i am trying to say?

I like it too. Maybe an option to enable and disable selling quantities of less then the whole stack, since some people do volume discounts and whatnot.

i support it if Kerr's option is made because i see the majority of selling in stacks in for a "bulk" deal

10 for 1500 gold each or 1 for 2000 gold i would understand you buy the 2000 gold one cause you only need one but it might draw your eye to buy the larger stack cause you might need it later

i still cant buy things from ah (and have no gold also xD) but i was tinking exactly the same, would be incredibly useful to buy things having a selectable amount

I am the 'friend' so obviously I am behind this 100%. Pretty much every mmo out there that has stacking and an auction system allows you to buy partial stacks. If the game can do the calculations of how much a stack of trophies breaks out into for gold/k, then it can't be that hard for it to break out the individual cost of a stack of items and calculate/reduce prices accordingly.

was wondering if there could be an actual auction where there is an item and then you place a bid.. there is no winning high bid in a time limit.. just be like "hey i want this at a lower price and this is my bid. If you like it well good we have a deal, if not then ok ill find someone else."

or something along those lines?
