Guidelines for In-Game Private Messages...
So Sherman and I came up with this idea together. (No Gasps, one-sided taunts or alike thoughts please.)
At one time private messages were considered uncivil and anything could be said that members wished. Since the issue with our sub-18 year old member who will remain nameless, they have been reclassified as civil. This means that technically Baracuss and I, or any pair like even sherman and I, can't talk faith between each other and be respectful of the Nod rules. So really, while I'm allowed to have a private talk with a person who does not see Religion as a hot topic, I can't talk one on one with them and respect the boss.
Can we get a clear set of guidelines for private chats? I'd be willing to help work, write these up. Obviously we enjoy Nod, so I think all of us would benefit from knowing how best to play the game in group chats and one to one.

Idiots who don't know how to use /dnd should be banned as well as the harasser.
Revoke the civil PM rule and revoke the rule that says people banned from uncivil can't PM those in civil.

Easy to solve: make a civil/uncivil setting (default civil).
- Default one is civil only
- Only paid accounts can toggle this setting
- When people start a convo with someone they see if this player either accepts uncivil messages or not.
- If you toggle your default uncivil pm setting, it means that all the pm's you receive are subject to the current uncivil chat/forum rules. All the pm's you send are subject to the civil rules, unless the other players accepts uncivil messages. Basically civil overrules uncivil.
Example, imagine i have toggled my civil setting and i message a player who only accepts civil messages then it would look on my end like:
sent: (c)
and on the other players end
says: (u)
And i should get a 1 time warning: 'this player accepts only civil messages while you are in uncivil mode'.
If this is too much work to make it appear 1 time, then it should be send every time you type, but then it should be toggable as well (show pm uncivil/civil warnings).
Once we are used to the s/u after a name, it's easy to disable the warning. But for newbies it might be better to show it every time.

How about talk as you would, just don't talk to people that screenie and tattle. You can pm friends whatever you want, it's not like Jeff is watching your PMs. They aren't THAT interesting.

when there is an ignore option and a DND option...it is entirely the "victim's" choice whether he or she wants to continue to receive abuse. i see no reason why people should get banned when they could just as easily be ignored without bothering a busy developer.

How about this
You could just not allow religious clans in the game, this is a freaking video game, not a church. If i or other people wanted to hear that crap id go to church. I'm sure others feel similar. I don't want to be PMed with that stuff while I'm playing.

I agree that we should be able to PM or use uncivil any way we want - after all uncivil was designed to be a free for all room. Let the whiners go find some other game to muck up.
