Beastmaster's Description and their Weapon

ok this has been bugging me for a wile now, how come in a beastmasters description it includes something along the lines of "A traditional beastmaster charges into battle with their two handed sword blah blah blah" but to make the most of a beastmaster u have to use whips (sine alot of the petmanships only work with whips equipped) thus making it difficult to be a "traditional beastmaster" as the class description goes.

i think the point is that: in-game class mechanics collide with RPG class description (as Severus pointed out)
