Free Accounts Restrictions and Suggestion

as a free acc you can't trade.
you can't auction.
this serverly limits the type of char you would like to play. basically it limits you to just a leveler.
you can't go for a crafter since you won't be able to trade what you craft, likewise you can't be a trapper.

i know this was introduced to help prevent mass farming and ruin the economy, but i would like to put forward a suggestion.

Salemanship increases the number of items you can auction by 1 every 4 levels.
how about changing this to 1 every 5 char levels per day for free accounts. this will allow some trading between free accounts but with a lot of restrictions.
a lvl 10 can only sell 2 slots in auction per day, or buy 2 lots from auction.

or something along the lines of the above.

i remember when RWK started if you were lucky enough u got the drops for access. maybe there could be a rune to grant access to either trading or auction for a limited period of time, or allows 1 full trade, using 5 slots and the rune. the rune gets destroyed during trade.

rune could be craftable and available in auction to all.

i think it would be good for paying members as well because its gonna suck not being able to trade with over half the players.

that is as long as there are safe guards for the economy of course

I'm not sure... depends on abuse of this feature, with people doing this on a limitless amount of characters it could possibly wind up being too much. Especially for those who have 1 paid account, they can just trade everything to that character from their free accounts and auction it all. I'd imagine there are people out there quite willing to go through this :P
But I'm sure Jeff will weigh in on this and he would certainly know better than me...
All I know is that people shouldn't be as obscenely wealthy as they were in the beta, takes a lot of fun out of the game if you can just afford EVERYTHING :P

Ya it would be very easy to exploit to transfer wealth for a farming company from hordes of free accounts to their single standard seller account if this were implemented.

cant there just be a limit to 1 auction a day or week for free accounts and the same with trades that way its hardly exploitable and would make the market much more healthy

well thats true maybe he is trying to force all free accounts to be pkers and you still farm even with the trade restrictions just let one account gather gold trophies turn it pk and kill it with your main then you get the items and can profit from it easily avoiding the trade restrictions if its gold and trophies you want to gather

It's really explotiable for people who have 1 paid account, because then they can just farm the same as they did in the beta by auctioning their boss drops to their main for 1 gold and then putting them all up for sale on their main. I realize this would be really good for people who DON'T have a paid account at all, but unfortunately they're not the ones who would gain the greatest benefit from this and it'd make it like a beta economy, which wasn't very good :P

you want to farm, make a main PK account, and repeatedly PK your own mules. make sure your mule has a significant amount of passive skills put into item stacking as well, so you can get the most out of each kill.
