Default To power up or to nerf

This is just a general question, no strings attached, blah blah blah...anywho just wondering, do u guys prefer updates that powerup a class/weapons etc (to make balance) or do u prefer nerfing (to make balance)

Piercers need a buff..also the rogue class needs a buff.

Agreed. Pierce needs a buff imo.

Glitchless once said to calc how powerful a weapon is, you do the

(min+max)/delay


you multiply the max by 1.5 from strength and you get a raw power of your wep.

Include pierce/slash/crush spec into the equation

To add the power from hemo, include: chance(damage of bloodlet)/delay
then theres crit for the wep... so you need to do


.25(2)(dpd without crit)

+

.75(dpd without crit)




I don't got the time to calc all this but if someone can do all the math, it'd show where pierce/slash/crush stands in the pyramid... When maxed out of course.

May vary at different level groups.

Power up other weapons/classes is better. This will give incentive for players to play other classes/weapons.

To nerf anything just leads to unhappy players who spent so much time and money to build their characters, and will also leave those playing unpopular builds still unsatisfied (After all their class/build is still unchanged).

Buff them piercers, they hit fast but super low. Besides, rouges can't seem to do jack.

Sometimes a Buff is a Nerf.
For example, if you decide a healer class is to weak, then buff them a little to much, they become overpowered, this could be considered a nerf to all other classes who duel Healers.

or

A famous example,
When the gems were buffed and the "Anti-stun" auras were implemented,
everyone considered this a Crusher Class nerf, even though the actual crusher class skills were never touched.

Balance, is also sometimes a bad thing, you don't want all classes to be evenly matched (to an extent) this would just make the game lame and boring, no matter which class you chose, you would still have the same outcome as all other classes, we do not want a sandbox.

To the subject, I would much rather prefer a buff to other classes instead of singling out and nerfing a single class, although much easier, it just enrages players and only bad can come from it, not to mention a negative image for nodiatis.
