What I DO like about nodiatis.
I complain too much :/ so i thought i should make a compliments thread.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What I DO like about nodiatis top 10.
10. Free to play near all aspects of the game. (nearly)
9. You'll meet some VERY nice people on nodiatis.
8. The backgrounds, albethem 2-d are very well drawn.
7. There is an interesting storyline.
6. I really think the creator of the game is going somewhere with this.
5. Nodiatis offers a wide variety of professions for the gamer.
4. The game doesnt focus so much on graphics as it does intricacies, this makes it both easy AND difficult to play.
3. Solo grouping, nuff said.
2. I have been quite lucky in nodiatis.
1. You can get a membership to the game through means OTHER than using rl money. THAT IS THE KICKER.
Disclaimer: NO I am not writing this thread because I recently got a zombie klaww. I'm writing it because I have a complaint thread, and an observation thread, so why not complete the trio with a compliment thread. :E
Furthermore, you're free to post what you like about nodiatis

I will give props to Jeff in the fact that in both rwk and Nod, it is possible to accomplish every aspect of the game without ever paying a dime. Kudos.
However he programs the game in a way where he sucks that money from paying players instead. ha ha

What I like about Nodiatis:
1. The magic system. The gem slots and random draws from the gem pouch give an element of strategy to this side of the game and keeps the combats interactive and involving.
2. The flexibility and range of skills. While I would like to see more balance in the skills, the range and choice that you have avaliable to you is fantastic and gives rise to a number of different builds and strategies.

I was drawn into the game by the background story, promise of a varied and in depth skill system, and the "free to play" aspect.
I have since found that the story doesn't really change, or evolve at all, as you progress through the game.- this is actually a major drawback for me, as i like RPGs for the story aspect.. and NPC interaction/ development.
The quests are not story related at all, though the RSPCA might want to have a word with Jeff.
The skills and ability to craft are good, but once you get to grips with the skills there are only a limited amount of builds that seem to remain competitive.
And, despite this, I have spent a fair bit on virtues and TCs and accel..lol.
What keeps me going is probably the fact that I have put this much time (and money) into my character that I'll be damned if I'm going to stop building the bugger up now.
I also know and like quite a few people in here, though I am not fussed about some of the politics/ drama- that's everywhere anyway.
This game is far superior to many other online rpg types, such as Knightfight and Battleknight, both of which i used to play.. but i feel its got a lot of untapped potential and it'd be great to see that explored.
