while the idea of adventure time is hella cool, i think it would be super neato if premium accounts received unlimited AT, or if thats not possible, perhaps premium accounts could have a monthly adventure time cap, like instead of getting 90 hours per basic month ( 3 hours *30 days) a premium account could have a monthly AT cap of 300 hours thereby allowing premium account users to wisely select how long they play and how they burn their AT. ( max amount of hours in a 30 day month is 720, so 300 hours seems pretty reasonable) They could play for 10 hours a day if they chose. Also since premium accounts are 16 weeks , they technically would have 1200 hours (300 cap hours * [16/4]) of play time for $49.95. it would make premium accounts more worthwhile in my opinion.

also jeff just one question, it says ($19.95) or ($49.95) non-recurring payment, so does that mean that each char can only have standard/premium account status once and only for 16 weeks? I sure hope not

it would be wicked sweet if premium accounts were unlimited but what i would like to see is a larger rollover bar for premium accounts so those days when you can't put in the full 3 hours actually get banked up. after all we are paying for that AT.

if it was unlimited i wouldn't be surprised of people playing less as they don't have no time bar telling you how much is left you'd probably duck out earlier and just figure you'd get the time in the next day but end up ducking out early again lol. idk i can just see me doing that and go play something else.

It just means that you don't have to worry about cancelling your account to stop recurring payments, you control when you add another 16 weeks to your acount which can be before or after you run out.

lol yeh i think if u have premium u should defo get the option to use the AT more freely than other players and AT keeps it more balanced but if your paying prmium u should get some sort of boost or extra ways of using it

To me, at first, more AT sounds like a good idea. Chandra's suggestion of 10 hours a day seems excessive, however.

The reason I feel this way is right now I love the fact that the playing field is even. Everyone gets at most 3 hours per day and are forced to use it as wisely as possible to stay competitive.

I feel if premium account users had 10 hours a day, it would completely shatter this dynamic for the following reasons:

1. Even though I have a premium account, I don't want to play 10 hours a day. I work for 8 hours. I try to sleep for 8 hours. Additionally, I have other interests and responsibilities, which inevitably would have to trump this game and I'd again fall way behind simply because of the fact that I have a life.

I am going to stress this. The fact that I can play this game competitively and have a life at the same time is a HUGE draw for me.

2. I think a minority of the player base that is able to shell out 50 bucks for a premium account is actually going to have 10 hours a day (on a consistent basis) to play, but I could be wrong.

The one situation I am willing to advocate is more time on weekends or two days of your choosing since I think most people have at least 2 days off from work or school per week.

Because sometimes I actually do wish I could play a bit more on the weekends but am only restricted to a few hours. That said, I think even free account users should be able to benefit from at least an extra hour per day on weekends (or two days of choosing per week). I think every gamer wants to get more into their games on their weekends and the AT system should evolve to take this into account.

---------------------------------------------------
Other than that, I'm not sure the contents of the premium bundle warrant its price point. It costs two and a half times as much as the standard bundle but is only twice as good as far as the numbers it offers (and only 50% better on the passive bonus). So I'd suggest adding more features or increasing the numbers on existing features, though I'd personally prefer the former except in the case of the passive bonuses. You could also lower the price point but I wouldn't suggest it.

Also as far as features go:
1. Extra gem slot. (I like having 1 extra to play with) but what does 2 extra mean? Does that mean that even with a full pouch I will always have extra escape gems also? This is an arbitrary bonus at best as some people don't want extra escape potions in their pouch.

2. Extra rune slots. This is useless right now.

3. Extra AT. This is the primary draw, and the best feature, but like I said, the price point might warrant even more hours like for a weekend thing.

4. Passive bonus. This is a GREAT feature, but the price point might warrant it being even higher.

------------------------

Anyway, I love this game and I know most of the people on the forum also love it (and we will stick with our premium accounts probably even if they're not changed), but I think a great deal of the new players fluxing into the game are going to have a hard time swallowing the price to service ratio of the premium account.

The way I see it, you can hope they love the game so much they are willing to pay for the premium (as it currently stands) or you can pretty much ensure they love it by making the premium enticing to a point that it almost cannot be denied (NOTE: THIS DOESN'T MEAN NERF THE **** OUT OF THE GAME).

I agree with what Somneil said in regards to AT being limited.
Remember, this game is a browser based game, and for this to be successful, you Jeff, should treat it as such. If we observe other successful browser based games, we can see that they all limit the amout of playtime per day. Be it in terms of turns, or resources per hour.

Why is this great? Cause it gives the casual gamer the thrill of competing among hardcore gamers. Sure, hardcore gamers with still get the edge because they tend to do the most out of their turns/time. But IF you would make it so that premilum accounts get unlimited time, you would bring your game out of the profitable browser game domain, and step into the all serious domain of pay-per-month games.

What does this do? For once, this will turn the free accounts and 'standard' accounts into mere 'demo'-accounts. This will discourage the casual gamers that can prove to represent a large portion of your paycheck.

My tip to you Jeff is this; Have a look at the other successfull browser based games out there, check out what privileges paying customers get, compare that to the free users and compare it to Nodiatis.

A final note: Remember, happy customers, and people talk to each other when they find something they like. They talk to co-workers, friends, classmates etc. If you find a way to please the casual masses, theres no stopping how big this game can be.

Uh, it means you can have 6 gems in play at once. Past level 5 your gem pouch has slots equal to your character level, capping at 50 gems. It's really great if you play a caster, because Aura + 3 gems isn't *nearly* enough, and Aura + 4 gems still leaves you with some delay if you don't draw a new recastable each draw. Aura + 5 gems in play makes casters *very* powerful in longer battles, because they can hold 4 recastable damage spells AND keep a slot open for regeneration gems, DoTs, and other one-shots.

Not to mention 5 HoTs and an aura is pretty burly, too.

That said, the Adventure time mechanic is great, especially with the change to how rollover time works. You don't have to worry about missing a day or two.

Once Runes are in the game (have we even heard *anything* about how they work or what they are?), I'm sure the extra slots will be a huge benefit.

I'd also suggest a couple more bonuses for premium accounts, like higher carrying capacity, so you can make use of that extra inventory space, and maybe even easier travel between towns (+20% to exploration, making it 70% at 0 and 100% at 100), or pulling from storage anywhere (maybe at a fee, or limited number of times per day). You know, something to sweeten the deal even more.

This is key. Well said.

I can understand the developers are tempted to boost the privileges of the premium account to get more people to get the upgrade. But keep in mind that more people playing = more potential money. You should focus on getting more people into the game rather than getting the people already in the game to cough up money. The former might ensure that you can make a living off this game.

i voted ok i guess because AT is actually great as it doesnt let people with more time on their hands just level more. but 2 things:

i dont think actual playing time should be limited... as ive said i think one should have more chars.

i am so against unlimited time for PA u wouldnt believe it. even if i was a premium member. premiums already have such big advantages it would screw up the whole balance. also it just plain defeats the whole point of AT.

RT is fine.
My suggestion.
For paying players, lost unused time at rollover 6am gets converted to Passive experience.

For example if premium ends day with 3 hours with RT and 2 hours rollover rested time. And their RRT maximum is 2 hours, currently 3 hours are lost.

For example If premium player had 2.5 hours RT remaining, then they would only get 30 minutes of extra passive experiance, because 2 hours roll over to next day.
