Default Publicity...

Jeff/Mike/Nikita/Glitchless Crew:

You've done a great job getting Nod publicity online. Tons of people have come to Nod via the ads they've seen across the Internet. Why not take it a step further?

BRING NOD TO CONVENTIONS!

I know there's not many big cons in the Southeast - which would be the easiest region for Jeff to make it to, as he's in Florida - but there is Dragon*Con, the biggest sci-fi/fantasy/gaming/everything geeky convention in the region. They have a whole event track based around MMORPG's - and this year there was even an entire panel on free/freemium RPG's. Another browser-based, free/freemium/wtfever MMO actually had its own panel! I think this would be a great opportunity for Glitchless to get its name out there.

Plus, if Jeff comes to Dragon*Con, I can buy him a drink.

Maybe he can even recruit help for the forever upcoming game, Dawn.

Edit: I forgot something important.

I read in a little copy and past between Jeff and some other dude from an IRC log.

Apparently Jeff feels that he can solo this project with a few solo artists. He feels that the technology will allow him to accomplish such feats.

Has he not realized that he is lagging behind on worthwhile patches for Nod and that Dawn will never be accomplished before the year 2020?

I guess not.

Maybe Jeff can realize that he needs more coders before it is too late.

A very good point, Sherm. More publicity leads to more players leads to more funding for more projects which can result in the hiring of more programmers and thus more progress being made on Dawn. Which would be ****ing sweet.

great idea. there could even be nod cosplayers, who dress up as faces. and they could hire someone to carry a background behind them.
...
but seriously. good idea.

You have to be a level 9 with 39 epic suit and 52 slashers.

uhm ... my initial reaction is wtf are you ladies talking about, people really do this kind of stuff? Ok, i fired up google and i almost fell out of my chair. As a decent human being i gotta respect other people their interests and opinions. So i read a bit more, despite my constructive empathic mood, i can't hold my laugh. But, this is a free world, right.

Just one question though ... will there really be nod fans that will dress up as zenga to go to such an event?

More publicity would definately be a good thing. While the playerbase is growing thanks to some internet advertising its still relatively small compared to other free MMOs. More players would be good both for Glitchless and the existing playerbase.
