awesome seletchi , we get a immense sense of satisfaction and a feeling of achievement after every hell , and 4 stat Points is not a tall ask just a small reward for achieving a huge task .
anyway congratulations for your feat

I like this idea....especially for the coming cap raise... It will still be a b*tch to only earn 4 stats for twice the XP, but it will be very rewarding and help you almost look forward to the hell level instead maybe avoiding it. with 4 stat points earned it will also add a strategic factor to where exactly your "final build" distribution will lay.

Actually, I think what seletchi was getting at is that it gets worse. Asking for a reward for something people have been doing for the past year is a bit selfish. Especially when you consider that you are asking to have the basic mechanics of character building redesigned so you can feel better when you make it through the tough part. Suck it up, and let being one level higher be reward enough.

+1
Hell levels deserve extra credit for overcoming
and just give the bonus to those who already completed it :P

No, everything is fine as is.
What are you going to give to those who complete hell levels for skills? Give them a bonus to the increase effectiveness of that skill?
Leave it alone, you may intend it one way and then Jeff goes in and does something you definitely didn't want and it will screw up the game.

I don't think this is a very good idea for Nod. Sure it would be cool to get 1 extra point to distribute on every Hell level... but it doesn't improve gameplay at all.

There are multiple people that have come across the level 99 hell levels to make it to level 100. I beleive if I am not mistaken it is about 17.6 mill exp. They never asked for any bonuses. just cause you come across a level 9 hell level and think it is hard doesn't mean you should get a reward for it. When I went pk I had melee and magic both at level 100. I didn't ask for a reward. Relic wants to cross the level 99 hell level with huge penalties in the way, he isn't asking for the reward, what makes you differant??

I agree! There should be a reward for passing a hell level.
I think that whomever is able to pass a hell level will have the first number of their level increase by 1 while the last number of said level returns to 0. That is a fair enough reward for anybody! Take for example hell level 69. After gaining the required Exp to complete this hellish level, the first digit of the level (in this case is 6) should increase by 1 (which would make 7). While on the other hand, the second digit of the level (which is 9 BTW) should decrease back to 0.
I have a flowchart which i jotted on a sketch pad if anybody needs more clarification. Also i have it broken down into an algebraic formula which i will share below.
Playerlevel = XY
upon completion of hell level: X + 1, Y - 9

so, let me get this straight...
passing level: earned level:
9 10
19 20
29 30
39 40
49 50
59 60
69 70 and some other things...hehehe
79 80
89 90
99 100
If this is what you mean.......that might just be crazy enough to work!!! Maybe everybody will think that new level is amazing and we will only have 1 person complain!!!
Another idea is maybe every 20 or so levels add new skills to keep them busy and also to make them stronger. This I support greatly too. Another thing, how about more exp for every level you pass because you are killing higher leveled mobs....and with that you can get more gold, and better drops as in epic and uncommon and rare drops!!!! This is amazing!!! I think we are onto something here. Jeff, can you please implement these ideas right away??

Instead of doing 4 versus 3 for the stats skills, why not 1 free stat for each hell level crossed in all the other skills? Can maybe be done via a button sequence that is similar to the level up one. Only first 'interface' is you choose which stat category to put the stat into. Then it calls up a setup similar to as if you leveled up. The point value being 1 instead of 3.
Would give reason like casters or dualwielders to build the skills in say archery archery. Would further expand builds or perhaps allow some builds to increase in some things that they lack ( like dexterity for casters so their staffs can actually hit something while they pour stats from melee into energy ).
Keeps it seperate from 'bugging out' with the normal levelup sequence. Atleast, I think it would.
