make a new class. one with massive boost to 2h damage.

a new ability: 2h dw'ing, needs a boat load of strength, and has enormous delay

Why make a new class when it's the weapon and 2H skills that need looking into?

the problem with duel wielding 2 handers is that their damage is significantly higher than 1handers for a reason. allowing dual wield would just overpower them. besides, they're called 2 handers for a reason.

Agree with Jons statement,
And also; All melee classes should be able to choose 2H'ing
Not just a single class.

Also,
Despite what Zenga said, I have tested top 2H melee weapons, even the one he mentioned, with massive overskilling (79ish) in 2H skills, and was very disapointed in the DPS compared to almost every other melee 1H weapons/DW.

My ~normal~ method of testing is to time 50-100 fights (same color mobs) with each weapon being tested, in this case (71/DW crush VS 75-2H-EpicSlash) and develop an average time per fight. Overall result: 2H weapons performed 29 seconds average per kill slower compared to DW71's.

Well there you have it ... you are overskilled and maxed out. I use the 2H on a char that is far from maxed out, and don't plan to do that either. It's a grinding char, nothing more. And on such a char he does acceptable damage, same like an average ranger (read as: with mimumum amount of skills, the damage of the 2H is acceptable ^^). Same for the first 25 levels, for players that don't use DW weaps yet, for them the 2H's are acceptable weapons.

I won't use 2H's on my maxed out chars either.

I didn't read all the comments, but I agree with everything except one. There is one 2h weapon that is used A LOT. That's the 12 crusher. But, let's be honest, who care's about a lvl 12 weapon when all the others suck? You do also have a higher chance for doing a crit with a 2h. I haven't tested it as much as you, so I'll take your word for it still being underpowered, in which case, I continue to agree with you.

Yeah I also use dual wield because the 2h is so weak

I support

And just do both, a new class that focuses on 2 handed weapons would help this way of fighting to grow in popularity quickly

maybe but Two hand skills will boost casters even more but i dont really care for "Buffing" classes anymore cause it comes back to buff mobs more than us

"If it aint broke dont fix it"

Best solution is to buff 2H weapons, omitting staves, obviously.

Imho 2h Weapons should get a better chance to hit, if you are dualwielding and the first weapon misses there is still a chance that the 2nd hits, but using a 2h 75 slasher myself i know that you are screwed if it misses :/

Edit: Archers have the skill "Trained Eye".

Well, since 2H weapons get 1% per level of hemorrhaging, perhaps raising the minimum of the non-staff 2H weapons to take advantage of this would be a quick and painless answer. That way you're still using a skill, and it's one they don't have to code into the game.

Just raise the minimum damage, maximum damage, stats, and the accuracy on all 2h weapons, and even more so on epics. Make epic 2h weapons truly epic.

We have more than enough skills, it's much easier to change the above to make 2h weapons more appealing to the populace of Nod.
