Default Stats

Hi
It has been brought to my attention that a 100 1 100 79 build with melee can be the exact same thing as someone with 100 30 1 40 with enchanting stones...

So my idea is making the stats actually count.

example:

each point in melee gives you .1% boost to the effects of melee

What do you think?

only regeners would enchant for reg but I do agree that if it does increase the effects by 0.1% per melee level it would be cool but what about pets they don't have a stat for pets

I would actually agree with klippi on this, having a small melee bonus would be fantastic, of-course to make it fair the other stats would need a similar bonus.

Melee = .1% bonus to attacks (could be applied to accuracy, damage, speed, whatever)
Magic = .1% bonus to spells (again, accuracy, damage, speed, etc)
Defense = .1% to resistances/dodge/block/parry
Regen = let's face it, this skill is crap.

You think someone is actually going to go to the trouble of building a character like this just to use enchanting stones to augment their intelligence?!

If so, they might need to augment it more IRL.

That is a waste of enchants. I could better use those enchants for STR, DUR, DEX, CNT, AGI, and STR.

This is pure speculation and very subjective, but i have the idea that the level in a stat does play a role (like 100 melee makes you stronger than 75 melee with exactly same dex/str due to enchants). Same goes for all dur build with defense: i have the impression that a lvl 85 defense takes more damage than 100 defense. As i said, i have no proof, it's just an impression.

If we're going to look at a boost for higher stat skills, don't give a bonus per level, but per hell level. Give us a reason to strive for 100 defense instead of leaving it at 99.

Hehe good idea. was thinking the boost was a little extreme.That makes more sense... An incentive for a completed hell level.
