In the early game (that is to late 30 levels) slashing weapons are very powerful, the bloodclaw and the zombie claw are the way to go for a melee fighter. That is when you plan to use epic weapons, they require both 2 virtues however (= 4x 5$ or you can buy 4 time cards with ingame gold, which will be very hard to achieve nowadays). They are definitely worth it though.
I only play a warrior/crushing combo in the end game, as warriors get a bonus for max damage. I really don't see the use of slashing for a warrior, unless its a 2H slasher. Crushing weapons beat slashers when equipped on a warrior. So forget what yuni says about the end game. But that is of course a personal matter. Once you reach the higher levels, it's pretty easy to switch weapon type and relevel another weapon skill from scratch.
So in a summary for me the way to build a warrior is: till level 55 use epic slashing weaps if you want to spend $ for the virtues, from there use crushing till the cap. If you plan to use regular/rare weapons, just use crushing weaps from the start.

Yes you can have as many as you want. However if you want an upgrade (accel, premium, virtues, w/e) you will need to buy it for every toon. You will benefit from making 3 chars, keep them at the same level and group them.
I suggest a warrior, a beastmaster and an archer. Those builds are versatile and you can spread the skills around. Of course there are way more builds, but i find that this combo rocks.

The best way to go is just ask your questions on the forum, as multiple people read it and multiple people can 'check' the replies, whereas in the game chat -with all due respect- mainly low level players with a limited amount of knowledge will answer your questions. And i can't count the times i've seen helpful low lever players gave totally wrong info.
