Name Change

Well i was thinking it would be cool if i could get the name Rain as it was taken and so i just added an s Rains. iv seen this person one time lvl 2 that was months ago added them to buddies never see them on. For one i would like to see something filter the good names that are taken and inactive and make them available agin after x amount of time not being logged in or some other way please add suggestions.

second. to have your name changed you would need a "token" or ild like to see it in the form of a Name Change Potion seeing is we only have 2 potions right now that would be great addition. Yes Jeff you make them just like TC of course bringin in some cash i knwo that sounds good haha. I think alot would buy them in conjunction with the above suggestion somone could go from Theking55643 to Theking or as i woudl like to go from Rains to Rain. Even if the first suggestion is thrown out a name change potion/token would be lovely. well. agree or dissagree ild love to see where this goes.

it should be done soon, the character will be deleted unless s/he was a paid player

okay thanks for that info sap but i have invested in my other toon now time and money to go and start a new toon just for a name.... or is there a name change feature that i am not seeing?

if not you know i would be willing to do something like pay 5.00 for a "name change potion" would work wonders.

Also noticed noone is really interested in commenting on this idea? figured quite a few would be all over this. hmmm.

Something else to think about is the people that scam. They are in every game. I do like the idea of a name change, but i think it would have to cost a bit more then 5$. someone could scam pay 5$ and have a name change. "Yes you are a idiot if you do get scammed" there no need to say it. There are good people out there that like to help others out, and somtimes get the shaft. You will have that. I think that 5$ is far to cheap for this though. i do like it. as far as the char being inactive it takes 3 months to delete if the char hanst made real money purchases. i had to wait for a couple of mine.

Great. good to have some feedback here. I did not think about that. I AM one of those whom help and i dont think i would be very happy if i was ripped off by a name changer. Then agin i still do it at my own risk. Well what would you say is a good price?

and agin the name may be open but hell iv spent alittle over 300.00 on my current toon no way im going to go start over now for a new name in 3 months. Thats not to mention the amount of time iv put in. :[

in rwk a name change costed 50$ when it was available. it gets easier to work on your second char when you have the one to help it along . you wont have to spend as much to get it to where it needs to be.

I had a name in beta. When I tried to use the name after the game went live, the name was taken. I have never seen this person online. Ever. And he's a level 1. I can almost guarantee you he made his account when the game first came out and hasn't been back on since. Either that or he's got some sick passives going. Supposedly characters get deleted after a period of time, but I've never seen it happen.
Same with rwk. I have a character that's never bought anything on there that I didn't log for a year, and he was still there.

this sounds like an idea that would be HIGHLY exploited by pks to avoid being pkked. so i say BAD idea. im against it

well im sure jeff has the capability to make PKs unable to name change. i mean come on he designed a whole entire game of wich we all play . Give me a break here...give jeff a break here im sure hes able to implement code enough to disable this feature for pks.... i still support this idea and think it needs some more support come on guys.
