Default neat. dot spells?

Haven't got em yet, will be testing em today. Do they stack with themselves?

"Everything stacks"
No seriously though, they do stack. Quite nicely I might add.

Everything stacks except same aura effects. Same DOT effects build up on each other. Be aware though if you cast a 100 damage 10 sec bleed then you cast a 100 damage 30 second bleed after you'll end up doing 200 damage evenly over 30 seconds. If you cast them in the other order you'd also do 200 damage over 30 seconds. When a same DOT (bleed, forsake, poison, disease, burn) stacks on itself it will refresh it's timer if it's duration is higher than the current time left.

THAT is what i wanted to know. If the SAME dot is cast again before the end of its duration would it "double" it just refreshes it's timer. Thank you.

It doesn't only refresh the timer though from what I've tested and from what Jeff posted. The damage stacks as well, just spread out over the remaining time left on the DOT (unless refreshed by stacking same DOT again).

I've gotten the 10 damage over 10 second burning DOTs up to 4 damage a tick before.

Sorry I didn't specify how they stacked, but Jeff covered that.

Ok. these last batch of posts confused me a bit...
What exactly happens when you cast the same spell twice?
Let's say I cast 15 damage over 15 seconds, and after exactly 14 seconds, I recast it...
Since I've already dealt 14 damage, will I deal the 15th point of damage at the end the now new duration of the spell, or will I basically cast a new 30 damage over 15 seconds spell?

16 damage over 15 seconds because your last dot had 1 more damage to do.

So is it correct to assume that whatever damage you have left will first be added to the new spell's effect, and then spread evenly over a refreshed duration, or will the remaining points be divided over the new duration as a separate process?
