Default Soften crafter buff consequences

Since the patch is not going to be reverted I suggest post here ideas about softening consequences. No whining here please.

Proposals:
1. There are some epics which are considered useless by most players like shields, 71 crushers etc. Receipts of this epics will be just destroyed because crafting these epics is not worthy even if it is possible. Why not to make possible to dismantle epic receipts for dust to be used for crafting useful epics?
2. High level receipt can not be used for crafting yet. It will take long time before lvl 78 epics became possible to craft. Getting receipt of 78 breastplate is very disappointing. Perhaps there can be alternative way for crafting epics from receipts introduced. Epic receipt can be used with enchanting rod and gold in amount of epic store buy price (or twice more) will be required to complete crafting. No crafting skill required. This will not lower value of crafters because they can craft at lower cost. But this will help handle cases with not craftable(today) epics.

1. Some epics don't sell, we all know this. Why? Because "they suck". Shields, lower whips, two handers, etc. The problem is not that they don't sell, the problem is that "they suck". I know someone proved that two handers are viable options, and there was recently a large debate over the utility of crushers. Nobody uses shields because DW is so much more powerful (apparently I'm nobody, I use a shield). Whips are only good for beast masters and pet-oriented classes/builds at the beginning. Make these items more useful on a wider range of classes/builds at lower levels without overpowering the classes that already benefit from them, and the epics will sell. If you fix it... they will sell.

2. For high level crafting... make crafting experience even greater as higher level items are crafted. Not necessarily exponential, but... at least make whatever linear scale there is a bit steeper. Higher experience for crafting higher tiers.

U know wat? We need a massive shield buff....

How can it be that shields are "useless" in the game, unless someone designed it wrongly -.-

seconded I use a shield, and frankly, it kinda sucks. Perhaps a skill to help the shield bearers hold aggro, since that's what they're likely going to be doing in groups?

Diversion
Every point in this skill gives you a 1% chance to taunt an enemy for 10 seconds at the beginning of combat if you have a shield equipped. At a skill of 100, the enemy will always attack you for the first 10 seconds of combat.

Would give us time to get out our taunt gems. Or perhaps something more like this...

Shieldwarden
Every point in this skill gives you a 1% chance to stun the enemy for 10 seconds each time you successfully block an attack with your shield. At a skill of 100, every block will stun the enemy.

Shieldwarden would be more useful in general, but Diversion would be a great benefit in groups, where shields are likely to be more important.

A great example of a constructive post! I'm sure these ideas will be considered by the senior staff.

Though this thread is not about shield buff... Shield may became more popular if they can provide damage bonus to melee users. For example skill which increase weapon attack speed by 0.5% per lvl. This will make melee users loosing about same percentage of DPS as bow users when using shield.

Paster... you didn't really make any suggestions in that thread. You pretty much just called the update worthless and a waste of drops.
