Inspect before Accept/Decline

CNs: Get random request for group or duel, can't inspect requestor before selecting accept or decline.

Scenario-

You start heading down a trail, get tied up with a mob (usually gray), and you suddenly get either a group or duel request. No PM, just the rectangular box where you have to either Accept or Decline.

At this point, you can't do anything but click an option. Granted, the group requests are generally random, but you KNOW a duel requestor has already inspected you, and considers you a target of opportunity.

Basically, all you can *safely* do at this point is;
1. Decline
2. Find the person's face that sent the request
3. Inspect them to see if you should group or duel
4. Send PM / counter request
5. ???
6. Profit

What I am requesting, is a way to counter-inspect the other party before having to make the original accept / decline decision.

Pasterqb- Yes, you can chat before closing the pop-up window. You've been around for a while, so you are familliar with some of the... unusual names used in-game.
It's time consuming (while dodging grey* mobs) having to open a pm chatbox (they never do), correctly typing the requestors name (try Tailauranna in the Nod font), just to say "what's up?".

Really, this all boils down to a "time wasted" issue. If I want to get from A --> B as fast as possible, I'm going to simply hit Decline and move on since most requests are from much lower lvl toons. Wouldn't it be illogical and cruel to accept, then say "Oh, sorry- you are going to slow me down too much", then kick them?

But what if the Group request is from a comparative lvl toon that may be beneficial to the trip? Since automatically accepting isn't the answer, we get back to;
1. Decline
2. Find the person's face that sent the request
3. Send PM / counter request
4. Group
5. Profit

Sorry for the wall of text again, but does anything I have said make sense to anyone? Plenty of views so far, but no feedback.
In light of more recent forum suggestions, could this be incorporated as something similar to the Duel Requests thread to cover random requests?

Wouldn't hurt, but the situations it would apply to are quite rare, so not a must.

yea i know gray is actually also used but if u read the descrips in the game it always says grey


and yea hard to spell names and i get really anal (yes i said anal) about stuff like that like when ppl call PINK mobs purple

Our devs agree this is a good idea, however, it is a low priority on a long list of things.

Sorry if I made your "To-Do" list longer Glitchless. While not really a huge issue by itself compared to other planned revisions, hopefully some version of this idea will eventually work its way in.
