ok....hope casters r finally happy now

i'm lv 20 but either way, having a flare up combo'd w/ red dd gems and black dd gems, statistically the reds should do more than the blacks, due to reds increased damage. but it seems we're still leaving out any black DoT's that can be used in place of the red dd's.

and sorry that it took me so long to respond, i've been busy

ahh but my blacks do an equal amount of damage to my reds.

and DoTs are better for a longer fight, DD's are more suited to faster fights, like PvP

being a caster <3 having whip user, Archer, Slasher and Caster

I r can solo mobs 10+ my lvl in 3 minutes WOOT!!

ok so ur telling me statistically that a rank 7 red dd gem and a rank 7 black dd gem (just picking a random rank) both combo'd w/ flare up will do the same damage?

if you're a necro, it will be pretty close. and even the fact that it's close makes blacks much more useful than reds due to decreased cost. if you're level 20 casting rank 5's this is not a big deal. if you're level 50 casting rank 11's this is a huge deal.

and i dont have my skills lvled either soo blacks will do more damage for me in the long run over reds.

and there is a massive difference in mana/energy used on later ranks.

with rank 13's my reds are using around 80 mana were as my blacks are using around 60

Hmmm.. Im a Necro.. All I use are black and red dots. While initially slow, get a couple stacked....its game over. Now for pvp its a different set up.

Dots are stackable on each other. That means if I repeat cast the same line of DOT they stack together. Which in PVE is pretty darn wicked!

im an angel, and my bonus is to white magic. however, if you look at my pouch, you will see that i have white and red DDs and DoTs in my pouch...why??? cause whites take energy and do around 600+ damage, while reds take mana and do around 500+ damage...if i were to have a pouch that uses all energy...i would be pretty screwed, now wouldnt i??

As a necro I agree with this. In argument, black is more efficient than red. Necros do not get a class bonus with red magic, but do with black.

i did recheck it. and my whites do more over all damage. and yes, i advised you to do that build, if you could manage it. not everyone can manage a build using all energy or all mana. and i prefer to not do that. lol
