gem drops?

always found it odd that gems didn't drop from monsters. why not add them? then there would actually be a market for gems in AH, and you wouldn't have to pay ridiculous amounts of gold every time you upgrade your pouch.

Blazinbones crafts gems, or at least he used to, not sure if he does, I don't know about his rates or anything but you can check him out.

i would have to agree it would be nice if at least some gems could be gained as drops mostly the rare and epic ones would be nice

Make them count towards my epic drops.

the cost of gems isn't ridiculous. They're prices don't quite match up to other things around that level. that being said... runes are worthless too. We wouldn't want another close-to-worthless item.

the cost of one gem isn't ridiculous, but replacing an entire set of old ones, i.e. replacing 40 rank 9's and 10's for 40 rank 11's and 12's...now that's another story. it wouldn't have to be a common drop or anything, just throw it in with other eq. and because there are so many ranks and types of gems, it wouldn't necessarily bottom out the market. for one thing, and there's always store-sale value - something runes don't have.
