Default Dilute Gem Bags

I’m not sure this has been posted yet but I did check the last 4 pages and did not see anything.

At first the fact that I was gaining an extra slot in my gem bag every time I leveled seemed like a blessing however after I loaded all the gems I wanted on to it. I noticed a problem. I am currently a level 11 paladin. I have White and Green Magic as well as a little blue magic. However as I only want to focus on healing spells, I have reached a little problem. My gem pouch currently has 3 level 10 HoT gems for both White and Green, 1 Green and Blue Gem to restore my energy and mana, 1 white aura gem. This to me was the perfect setup. Now that I am level 11 I have 2 extra slots and it seems no matter what I place in them I can’t guarantee that I will be able to heal someone. I can only see this problem getting worse the higher I get and the more dilute my gems get.

I can think of 3 possible solution to combat this problem.

Solution 1: Remove the 3 of a single gem limit or make a skill that allows you to use more then 3 of a certain kind of gem (AKA a separate skill for Life, Death or Psych magic).

Solution 2: Add a skill under each magic that will add a slot to your bag, with the restriction of your slots can not be higher then your level. As a result a 3 in each skill will give someone 9 slots if they are level 9. This would easily allow player to customize the amount of slots they want.

Solution 3: From with in the gem bag allow us to select the slots that we currently want to use. The other slots would be void they would not even appear as escape potions.

Solution #4: Fill the remaining slots with LV10 Green and/or White DH's (Direct Heals) or LV2 DH's or LV2 HoTs or add another blue and/or green m/e converter. Also you may want to consider a minor balance gem in that setup. Other than that, there's the green and blue damage auras, which aren't too shabby.

-----------------

I think at some point everyone's going to have their "perfect" setup. Then next level it'll be thrown out of whack. My suggestion is just to study the available gems and get creative.

Extra gem slots are not meant to be a positive, just be glad you don't start out with 50 gem slots at level 1 like it used to be.

That being said only a fraction of the types of gems exist that will eventually exist. It may be hard to fill it up with gems you like simply because not enough cool gems have been implemented yet.

and the whole system is you have to think about your gem options and come up with cleaver combinations, like pokemon cards for the over 12s. you cant play snap with only 4 cards

Yea, I tried to adding direct heals however, the time required to draw them combined with the small amount of heal combined with the high cost made them very inefficient.

It seems I made a drastic flaw in my logic. I assumed that gem slots where there to help you diversify if you wanted to but according to the boss they are there to screw with you as you level up

I don't know anything about pokemon cards I however can relate to your card reference and I can tell you I had a pretty sweet hand every time with my first 9 gems. Things I could kill at level 9. I can no longer kill at level 11 and its all due to those 2 extra slots.

well for now if you want to fill up your gem pouch youll just have to fill in some damage spells or auras as there are plenty of different gems already to fill 50 slots in gem pouch of course im not saying all of the currently available gems are worth it but there should still be enough to keep it filled at least till your well past lvl 25

adn as jeff said there will be a lot more gems coming so there will soon enough be plenty of new combinations to play around with
