Default Ideas and Thoughts

Now that i have been around for a while and I finally have some time i would like to share with all of you some ideas and thoughts that i have about Nod:


As a caster i think we are in disadvantage at least for the first 20 levels,with a well built char we can also kill red mobs
but our fights need almost twice the time of other class, which means less leveling for he same amount of rt.
We cant neither use shield, whips or achery equipment... I have been thinking and i dunno how to fix this without change too much the game.
-In combat, while exist an empty gem slot, i think every new gem should go automatically there, this will reduce the clicking, wich i see really beneficial.
-To minimize the difference btw casters and other classes and make more equal the fights PvP:
as long as u have a staff equiped ur daze/mesmed/stunned should stack, for example if i use my daze gem and at same time my epic 17 or 69 staff msmed the target,
working as now only the mesmed has a real effect; with this change the target would be mesmed for the 3 seconds and after/before dazed.
-All the weapon/armor items drops except gems, that also make that there is no gem market... check the ah if u dont believe me but gems became expensive and
if u are a caster you need them. I think gems should drop also, if now u get normally a shield with a value of 4k gold now can also drop a couple of gems with a
value of 2k (twice the same gem), that would increase the market. who get too many gems can always dismantle...


I really like the forum, its nice to know that the admin reads what we think about the game and keep us informed about changes. The only thing i dont like too much
is the amount of information mixed with personal post that exist. If a new player as i was wants to read the valuable information has to check hundreds of posts.
I would suggest some kind of FAQ, with the more valuable info/post/files chosen by the players and post by Jeff with no option to replay in the same thread.


I think would be also interesting to show at the end of every fight a table with some valuable statistics:
pets/gems/weapon damage/heal... or something more easy as when u fight grouped how much damaged did each player...


About the ah, i think could have a better organization, specially at tradeskills resources. Maybe something similar than the "Options menu" could help... when u click on
"Clan Admin Options" a new windows is opened with "First clan options... Secondary Clan Options", same way if u clik on "tradeskills resources" a new window could open
with more option: sinew, silks, threads, veggies, ore, ingots....
I would add too an option for the player that auction an item to say if the amount its negotiable or not.


I think a postal service could be helpfull and interesting idea. Would be an option to send item from 1 town to another with a cost that would involved the level of
the player and the value of the item.


An what about a Tavern? which important town/vilage/castille doesnt have a tavern or similar? The tavern could be in all cities or only in the "most importants",
that would finish with the actual way with all towns completly equal.
The Tavern should be a place to disconnect from a long day fighting. It could have for example some gamble games, since easy game red/black Player vs Tavern to
poker games PvP, wich will allow more money movement, and more chances for the low level players, ofc there should be some restrictions, as minimum level or similar
but i think the option of new a place in towns different that the stores could open a lot of ways for future ideas.


To end with this book (sorry i didnt expect it so long...) i would like to speak about the only thing that i dont really like of Nod: the chat
I suppose Jeff is still working on it , like the "6 lines" option, but i really think this chat in the same screen is a dead-end way.
I think mIRC is a good idea (i know some people told it before ) maybe i like it cuz is the chat i know, but it would leave a lot of clean space for the game that could
distribute better their Menu options, ah, storage... And ofc for the clan settings that we will need


Finally i want to say that probably some of this ideas have been posted before, i cant read all the post, but i checked there are not at the Todo list. Sorry also for my english, i hope u understood me.
Ofc, u are welcome to call me noob if i said something stupid, but i would prefer real comments. I do mistakes but im sure u can find something interesting in this book

That's what I had heard too... Until I actually played a caster. My DD caster does very nice damage, and is rapidly catching up with my Archer/Guardian in levels. Honestly the only problem I had with him was getting to T2 by myself. Past that I seem to be fine, nor am I taking on reds - yet.

In my opinion casters shouldn't get these things anyway. If you really want to use a sword and shield, then of course you have to lose the benefit that your staff brings. In my opinion, this is fine - I'd even take it a step further and disable warriors from using bows to start combat with ambush.

Personally I'd hate this more than I'd love it. I'm somewhat OCD so I've gotta have my gems in 'right' place. I do think looting could be more automated, though. Anything to get to the next fight quicker (and thus save RT) would be great.

Variety is the spice of life... Though I assume you're speaking about balance?

I disagree here. I think it's fine as is. Procs are unpredictable; if it's that big of an issue for you, don't use daze/mes gems.

I agree this would be nice, especially at higher levels.

Some stats would be nice, but not in any way a priority - there are more important things to do first.

Your English is fine... Better than some native English speakers would admit.

-I also started to do a nice damage with DD but i just started to see a really good damage (around lvl 25)

-About the shield-archery the biggest dissadvantage i see and i wanted to say was the plus you get in ur stats with those items, ofc u can always enchant....

-Im agree about looting, but i continue thinking the "autofreeslot" would help, u have them ready, doenst mean u have to use them in any order

-I think the memed/daze/stunned thing would make longest batles that bring casters more options and prevent the use of an escape

-You are right with the gems, they became expenive in high levels...

-About the stats i was just making a list of possible stats, put all of them could be too many unnecessary info, and could became boring-annoying and ofc its not priority for the game (neither the other ideas tavern/chat..) just wanted to know ur opinion
