This update makes only sense. You will only get better. That you have to adapt to a new situation, ... that has happened several times to the very early players, things got easier or better for more recent ones. Deal with it.

okay, let me lay it out on the line for you. i have 48 in gardening and 43 in brewing. however, i am not whining/*****ing/complaining about this update. i am ACTUALLY HAPPY ABOUT IT. not only do i get more xp in gardening when i pull veggies, i get more xp in brewing when i make artichoke and bell pepper oils.
it may look like someone who has nothing in those skills can make high tier items. BUT THEY CAN NOT.
think of this. how many eggplants would it take to make 1 bell pepper? lets do the math....
1 Bell Pepper = 2 Artichokes
2 Artichokes = 4 Scallions
4 Scallions = 8 Sweet Pea
8 Sweet Pea = 16 Red Onions
16 Red Onions = 32 Broccoli
32 Broccoli = 64 Asparagus
64 Asparagus = 128 Mushrooms
128 Musrooms = 256 Tomatos
256 Tomatos = 512 Red Cabbage
512 Red Cabbage = 1024 Radishs
1024 Radishs = 2048 Zucchinis
2048 Zucchinis = 4096 Eggplants
4096 eggplants for 1, yes 1, Bell Pepper. For 2 Bell Pepper, which is required to make 1 oil its a grand total of 8192 Eggplants.
wow, yeah, some low level char is gonna take all that time and effort, just to make 1 reasonably high lvl oil....

The things we've had to learn to live with.
Especially us PK's, yet we don't quit like little *****es.

Ok being a forager myself (and you know i am on your side, Heyyou) I do know that the update affects my dyeing business. However, like hopilus, I did the math and think that there is always a market for my dyes. Many players can't be asked to spend all that RT foraging for elderberries to dye and make into Creep Leaf. At the end of the day, us high level foragers will get to churn out more high level dyes than other foragers ever will. All we need to do is lower our dyes prices and sell quantity to make up the drop in prices.
For example: Previously, I had to sell my Mini Pear dyes for really expensive due to the sheer amount of RT i lose to forage these items. Now, I can lower my price and still make the profit BECAUSE i can easily find more Fenelifigs to upgrade to Mini Pear dyes compared to a level 20 forager. This makes me happy, since I don't have to throw away my eldersberries. It makes my customers happy since they don't have to pay my high prices. And it balances out the Nodiatis economy.
We just need to figure out the new economy and make best use of it.
*hugs Heyyou* i know the change is frustrating, but we'll see it through

Seriously, yes it might affect dye prices or not lol. Fact is if you don't have the level to make it won't be able to craft with it. Just because you can upgrade the item doesn't mean anything. It's just nicer after seeing forests of zucchini to get rid of the things by upgrading instead of selling for practically nothing.
