Default Crafting Improvements

Having been at this a while, and now reaching the point where leveling my crafting skills are getting more and more difficult, I would like to suggest a few ideas to assist crafters that I have not seen previously on the board:

1) Brewing - I do not understand how I get experience in Gardening every time I pull a vegetable, but when I go to make the oils from those vegetables, I gain absolutely no experience in Brewing when I make a lower level oil. Jeff, I understand that pulling higher level vegetables is not supposed to be easy; however, when I only gain experience from the highest level oils that I produce, and that experience is extremely small compared to the work I need to put in to get those vegetables, it makes high level brewing extremely difficult. Even having leveled my Perception skill, getting to the next level of brewing is taking forever. I really think that there should be experience for any oils made, and the experience should be better than what we are getting at this time for it.

2) I Garden and I Brew because they work in concert well. However, now that I am needing over 700K experience in each to raise levels, it is getting very frustrating. I would guess many people are in the same boat if they are doing two areas of crafting.

My suggestion is to implement an upgrade known as the Crafting Upgrade. Purchasing this would be a one-time purchase, similar to Acceleration or Grinder, and would allow the addition of one extra Passive skill - only allowed to be utilized in Crafting, Artistry, or Resourcefulness skills. This would allow those interested in crafting to be able to utilize this extra skill to help push the economy and crafting system forward.

I look forward to hearing people's ideas.

i do brewing and gardening as well. and the only way i can see offsetting only pulling two bell peppers in any given ten hour period of grinding, (seeing how at the current time, that is the ONLY oil i get any xp off of) and the fact that i only get maybe 2k xp per oil, that it needs to be boosted to either 50k xp an oil, or i need to be able to get xp from some of the lower level tiers. even if its only say, asparagus and up, that i actually get xp off of, i would be extremely happy with that.
i also have the same problem with dying. even though its not as high of a lvl as my gardening and brewing are, i can see how those that forage and dye, would be having the same feelings.
same as those that do mining/woodworking/ingots.
and those that do hunting/leatherworking.
pretty much, once you get past lvl thiry seven or so, it because extremely difficult to keep the secondary skill up, to match the resourcing skill.

now, i know jeff implimented something to help offset this. however, the % at which the lvl 11 and higher tiers are pulled, versus, how fast the resourcing skills actually level up, are not balanced at all.
i have in the past, and most likely will in the future, be able to lvl up gardening (and at this point, one skill in gardening takes over 1.1 million xp, and i am getting 3.5k xp per veggie pull)
before i even pull enough veggies to make five oils that will give me experience in brewing. even with putting brewing on passive, its not enough to offset it.

(hopefully you all understand what i am trying to say. extremely tired and had to retype most of the post just to make it readable)

Your idea is a good one and it is agreed that there is room for improvement here. There are other things that have priority at the moment but this will get attention in the future.

Yupp! Im going crazy over this aswell... (doing foraging ad dyeing).

Like to get exp for all plants I find, cause even when Im up in lvl 43 I still get crap that I just throw away... so I see no reason for it not to be the same with dyeing (exp för all tier of plants), because it will still take like forever :')

There's actually going to be a significant crafting patch tonight. It got squeezed into the priority queue.
