not a complaint but I see a real problem
Jeff
Is it really fair for a pk to have to start his/her hour over if someone forces combat on them? I try to plan my pk runs with a 2 hr window, or a sever reset (which I am to tired to wake up for). By the current rules a pk could be forced to be on 24/7 all that has to happen is for any pkker to do is offer a bounty to anyone that see's us to force combat, then our hr restarts. Now this has not been the case up to now, but as more and more players join this could happen. I do enjoy the game, but I do have a life. I have 3 kids, a GF and a job. Should I lose my character because I put things in a priority(sp). Like I said I try to plan my runs with time to spare. The way you have it i can hide for 59min 59sec and be forced on and then have to wait another hour, is this really fair? I have come to terms with alot, and I thank you for what you have given us (redemption, clan chat) but this is a hard pill to swallow. Please at least take a moment to rethink it. Pardon my spelling and other mistakes in my typing all, I are drunk and got a D in english so bare with me.

A 2 hour maxlimit would work. If someone would force combat on you 40 minutes after your list fight, you have to wait another hour. If it happens again in the 59th minute of that hour you only have to wait 21 minutes. That only if you don't force combat yourself.

Jeff, Austen actually does have a valid point on this.
As the current system stands, even if a pker needs to log off and carry on with life, he can't because someone else forcing combat on him will restart his hour. So if any player forces combat on him while he runs (lvl 5 can do even do this), he will have to wait an hour again. When nodiatis gets filled up, all pkers will never have a chance to log off as long as pkk-ers pay noobs to force combat on him to extend their hunting time.
Current system can be easily abused by pkkers. We might need to have it changed in the next few updates....?

I second Austen in this, its simply not right, and surely not fair.
to many advantages for the PKK and to many disadvantages for the PK
as is, just my oppinion.
I understand Jeff is really busy right now, and this will probably be the very last thing on his mind to say the least.
But, just a " Ill consider it. " or a " best is yet to come " will suffice
*edit* AUSTEN! stop posting in forums when your drunk.
although your right, try to post once when your sober.

Perhaps planning ahead if you know this is the case would be a good idea. If you have something to do in a couple hours doing some PKing isn't an option for you.
Jeff already adjusted the redemption rules for PKers and now they can talk to clan while PK as well as have the advantage on only have a couple people chase them down now since their clanmates won't touch them and the requests continue to flood in. Looks like everyone wants a sugarcoated system for ease of life and PKing.
I think the "hardcore" part of the PKing is starting to become "softcore".

Being forced to stay on an hour when not being the aggressor is a bit harsh. There will be a slight change next patch.
Pending changes thread has the info.

You're my hero. I love the way you managed to bump an 8-month old thread and say nothing at all.
