Strongest Classes in Game? (non subscribers)

Which class/job and play style would be strongest in the game?

How about lvl 1-10, lvl 11-20, lvl 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70.

Each class has their benefits, but i'm sure there has to be a couple that really shine. From what i've heard. Warriors, Vampires, and Rangers are the strongest in the game.

I'm looking for a new character to make that will be able to kill monsters fast and have low regeneration/downtime. I'm not a subscriber and I don't plan to buy virtues so epics are out of my reach.

As of right now, all i'm using are warlocks, magicians, angels, and paladins.

Which class should i try next?

Alcoholic:
0% recovery
+20% defense
+10% melee
-23% magic
and its class bonus is a built in anti-daze skill which basically means that you will take way less damage during fights

for me the alcoholic is the most attractive class when you are a melee fighter

so i'm guessing the strongest class is a melee class. and yea i got owned by an alcoholic recently in a duel. i'll try it out.

i wonder how the caster will turn out after the new gems come out.

I agree with zenga. I tried warrior for my alt and the daze thing is really a pain. Although Warriors get +20% melee, but the regen time it takes after one daze hit (or two) is tremendous.

It might be slightly slower to level up the Alchoholic at the beginning if you go more melee than defense, but at higher levels, it evens out if u go level100 melee and level 100 defense anyway.

It depends on if you are talking about pvm or pvp. I wouldn't say the alcoholic is the strongest pvp character by any means.

i like casters, suck at the beginning, then rock later on. going through yellows in less then a minute and oranges in less then a minute and a half.

I was pretty sure he was talking about mobs, but he didn't point that out in his questions. :P For mobs, yes I agree the alcoholic or maybe a good archer. For pvp, no. For overall strongest, no.

ok, now i'm wondering which is stronger. DoT caster or DD caster.
I like to fight black mobs. And always my DD's miss 50% cause i don't have enough CNC.
DoT seems to be very reliable, and you don't need to waste your mana on spells that miss, just spam spells that always connect.

Now, because DD's eventually get +25%/35% or more damage through later skills and DoT's only get 1 skill that raises the damage. Which would be stronger? Am i correct to believe DoT will still be stronger?

My caster is almost pure DD. With Flare Up, I get magic crits as good as a lot of melee crits... at a faster speed. Only problem being a caster (in my opinion) is that you shouldn't waste slots for heal spells, so you better be sure your magic is good enough to take out a mob before it can take you out.
I'm not a fan of DoT spells for a caster.

another thing, why is alcoholic stronger. is it because it levels up faster cause of the exp boosts?

I myself am a vampire and i love my particular bonus. I get a 5 (up to 15) percent heal for my damage.

Let me clarify:

At base bonus (5 percent) I must hit at least 10 damage to draw one health.

The thing about me is, like flip, I'm particularly adept at regeneration, mainly in battle.

We Vampires are part warrior, part regener. When I fight orange mobs (with healing pet) i hardly lose any health, no more than 20 hp when i'm not dazed. (when dazed i can hit myself for 60, my crit max on other people is 85 with a bow, 77 with my melee weapon). I can solo reds and pinks easily as well. The only thing i consume is a LOT of energy and mana. Which is remedied by having a well rounded set of recovery stats, by the time i've collected my trophies and gold, I'm foraging and most of my energy/mana has been returned and ALL health has been returned. :|
