Post A few ideas from a player

Hi...ive been playing the game for about 3 weeks now and enjoy it.

i have a few suggestions for future stuff...feel free to ignore em or put em way down on the priority list...just things i think would be cool. i dont know anything about programming or how hard these things would be to implement.

-Volume slider (would help a lot for those that listen to music in the background but want more control over game volume)

-hotkeys for things like switch pouch/change weapon (maybe ctrl + p/w)

-FAQ at the bottom of the screen...near tops list and forums. im sure you're well aware of the storm of questions that get sent into the tiny chatbar daily. its relentless, and would be nice if people had an easy place to look for the most common questions. forums alone dont seem to be enough because people want to know everything at once. maybe it would help cut down.

-include chat commands and how grouping works somewhere in tutorial, FAQ, or have the seer say how to do it. many players get pretty far without learning the most basic things

-say who is encumbered in a group when the message appears

-have a way to see nearby players (not just your square). maybe just a 3x3 square would work. even could include a scouting skill later on to improve vision. would make mechanics for finding other players better and add fun to pk hunting.

-a way to block automated floating messages without blocking player sent floating messages at the same time.

-the ability to inspect a group members equipment from far away (maybe not realistic, but would help when you get a new group member, take the time to kill a ton of enemies to meet up, just to find out hes severely underequipped).

as for hotkeys

if you use xp - www.ezmacro.com
if you use vista - www.jitbit.com

a good chunk of the players already use hotkeys. (at least most of the higher up ones. saves your wrist)

I really like the idea for a volume slider. I hate having to just mute the sounds, because i do like to hear the little ding when i get a PM, but i don't want the reverberating boom of it when I'm trying to listen to my music >.<

Or a babbling incoherency slider. The more inane chat becomes the more opaque it is. It should be built in and adjust itself automatically.

The 1st one is really needed for new players, we get lots of questions with new players in the main chat on the game.

Although instead of writing it up, Kellisa made the FAQ ages ago and its somewhere on the Nod forums some pages behind already. Just giving a link to that, a little updated would work fine.

and the 2nd one has been already done by Glitchless and pinned up on the forums.
