I can understand the problem/wish. But what worries me is this:
Many things have been introduced to the game recently to rectify wrong builds. Untrain stats, delevel, redistribution, ... On top of that, many new things makes it almost impossible to make a difference (stand out from the masses) strength-wise. There is the inspection where you can see someone else his armor/stats and weapons, there is the cap for skills at 100, the top lists which reveal the players total xp and skills, ...

My fear is that the best builds will be copied in detail, as well as the weapons. Bottom line is that people will end up with 100 melee/100 defense, the same weapons and armor. As a matter of fact this process is happening right now.

If you are able to change your class halfway and at the level cap, even more people will become exactly the same. And honestly I believe that is something that will drag the gameplay down with regards to the upcoming clans/pvp features.

i dont want people to be able to change class. main reason being, if (and when) they start adjusting classes to balance them out, some certain classes will probably get buffed too much. im not saying the designers arent good at planning, but it happens in every game. theres always that one class that dominates.
if players can change their class, you're gonna get a ton of players in that one class and then its no fun. people will only want to group with the best at the highest level. people get excluded, pissed off, and whine in forums too much.

maybe have a way to choose a secondary class but not a primary change.
