Epic Enchanting Stones

I think it would be nice to be able to use the Epic Dusts that you get from Dismantling Epic Items. I think it would add variation to the game and allow people to customize their armors and make any armor epic.


Listed below are potential options. Please feel free to respond and add any you feel might work.

1. (LowPower) It would take 2 epic dusts to make the epic Enchanting stone. At this power level you can only place your epic dust in the enchanting rod. 1 epic dust goes in each side of the enchanting rod. The Resulting stone would have the special ability of an epic and require virtues to use. however it would have no +/- stat enhancements. (whether to use the same dust or differing dusts would have to be determined)

2. (Average Power) Placing a normal resource into the first slot of the enchanting rod and a epic dust into the 2nd slot would create a stone that has all the benefits of the first slot without any of the negative aspects of the 2nd slot. Stone would be considered Epic and would have the Virtue prerequisite but would not gain any other "epic" feature.

3. (Moderate Power) Placing normal resources in the enchanting rod as you would for normal enchanting. Place 1 Epic dust in each of the bottom row of slots. The resulting stone would have all the benifits and drawbacks of the normal enchanting stone as well as one epic power. Of course as always you would have to have virtues in order to use.

4. (High Power) Place normal ingredients into the first slot in the enchanting rod. Place Epic Dusts into the 2nd slots in an enchanting rod. In this power level you get the benefits of the first column with none of the negitives of the 2nd column. you also would get 1 epic power, regardless of how many different epic dusts used to gain this ability.

As with all epics you must also discuss how you go about getting rid of said items. Of course as with all dismantling when you dismantle a "Enchanted Epic" Item you would get 1 epic dust back and one epic dust would be lost... or in the case of High power you would get 1/2 the epic dusts back.

What you were talking about was augmentation... Yes, it is similiar to your idea. The main difference is in my way it is done by Enchanting rather then given to you when you buy virutes. Not exactly the same thing but i digress...
