Hear hear! I agree, actually I assumed there might be a bonus for equipment sets, but since i've never had a full epic set never tested.

not neccesarily a bonus like that. Maybe a bonus like With complete set this armour has a xx% change of forsaking the foe for xx dmg over xx seconds. Or maybe a damage shield that runs through battle and stacks with current damage shield gems..

It would be fun if you could set a DD or DoT gem in armour that has a % of going off when hit but only for epic chest pieces =)

No, full armor set should only be a bonus to the player, not a detriment to the foe. That wouldn't make any sense.

that isn't always true I mean look at the 67 epic, it is covered in flames wouldn't that be a detriment to the foe and the flesh hooked armour is covered in hooks

Well considering it's armor I would say a defensive type bonus and it should be something that is not class specific for instance all classes of characters should benefit from this bonus.
Lvl 9 set = + 1% bonus to all defense stats
Lvl 25 set = + 2% bonus to all defense stats
Lvl 39 set = + 3% bonus to all defense stats
Lvl 48 set = + 3% bonus to all defense stats and and extra 1% chance of reflecting any melee/magic attack back onto the attacker/caster
Lvl 58 set = + 3% bonus to all defense stats and and extra 2% chance of reflecting any melee/magic attack back onto the attacker/caster
Lvl 67 set = + 3% bonus to all defense stats and and extra 3% chance of reflecting any melee/magic attack back onto the attacker/caster
Could be either melee or magic bonus on the last 3 sets. Both seems alittle over the top but not out of the question considering how difficult and and expensive it can be to get a full set.

Epics sets are good enough already without a set bonus. If you want to make a set bonus for epics, make one for all other armors.

It's not that they are not good enough, its the fact that they cannot be purchased in a town store. So not just anyone can own a set. If you add a bonus to all armor sets it will null the bonus.
The bonus would be an extra incentive for people to work harder by farming areas where they drop or spend more real $$$ (buying sellable/tradable tc's) to acquire a set from the AH.
Not that I would like epic prices to go up any but it could potentially make the prices raise. But in this case I wouldn't mind if I were getting an extra bonus.

originally during beta. it was suggested to implement Full Equipment Set bonuses for Classes.
if i recall there is an armour set with Vampiric or something in the name. the suggestion was for vampires to get a class specific bonus for having a complete set.
jeff did say he liked the idea, hence we are still waiting.

HECK NO favoring people who spend too much on epics is garbage. The Best epics are weapons, Helms and Chests so other are pretty much a waste when u can just get TCs.

So what you are really saying is...the people that spend the most $$ on Nod should rot in hell and get no bonuses. thats not very nice paster. *shakes head*
My idea sounds like an excellent business move if I dont say so myself.

I agree. Sometimes it takes so much just to get that last legging or that friggin' helmet, even though they are already epic, that you deserve it. If for nothing else, the money you're spending to trade for them and/or time put into farm specific areas for the item. Either way, I second the original post and think Paster needs to get a job and shell out some cash.

The epics are epic cause they are epic. No need to make epics more epic.

Well, it took me over 2 mill gold to get completely epic with the lvl 39's, I am still working on the 48's. It takes a ton of farming and gold to get completely epic, I agree with the idea.
