Medieval Warfare 101

Crossbows are slower than long bows and have lesser range.

Crossbow arrows are generally called bolts.

Crossbows and bolts weigh more than long/short bows and arrows.

A quiver carries less bolts than long bow arrows.

but crossbows/bolts also did more damage than bows/arrows and were more accurate

Crossbows do more damage but weren't necessarily more accurate. It was considered a short-range 'tank busting' weapon to use against plate armoured knights. Usually required a 2-man team to reload-winch-crank-fire

Hmm, there's some good ideas for gems: a PvP gem that blows up everyone in a 1 square radius! Or a spreading disease gem! Can't escape now! Muahahahahahahaha!
