tc purchase changes

is there no way to keep the buying 1 tc option? quite often i'm just renewing face on an alt or i'm 1 million gold shy of buying something i want. so i just bliss 1 tc and instasell it. i'd rather not have to give up on these things because i'm not gonna buy 5 tcs when i only need 1. if this is impossible. rip. i'll just need to farm gold in those cases rather than bliss~

Firstly, you can buy TCs on your main and hand them out to your alts.

More importantly, there is a lot more to this change than our unfettered greed. Recent changes to US sales tax law have made it to where even small businesses need to be concerned about crossing thresholds that result in the requirement to charge sales tax to every digital order, both in state and out of state. Some of those thresholds are based on the amount of transactions. Many small purchases could result in a company needing to not only begin charging sales tax, but to file monthly returns in multiple jurisdictions that themselves cost money to file via a third party. This is so bad, it could make many $5 purchases cost more in money and hassle to process after every processor fee and tax than is gained.

We already need to charge sales tax in some cases: In these cases, we have been paying these taxes ourselves, deducting it from the sales price, as opposed to tacking it on and making you pay it which is the typical way it is done.

We have lowered TC prices when paid in bulk and sheltered our players from the impact of irregular sales tax. Please don't get up on your high horse and shout down that we are doing something evil, when that is not at all the case. In the coming years, companies that don't have a dedicated tax compliance team and are actually complying with new laws will need to either: 1. Charge their consumers the tax or 2. Shift away from small dollar transactions. We opted for the 2nd option. We hope you understand it is the lesser of two evils.

I'm willing to pay the tax. But I understand your point. My statements stand though. I can buy tcs on main and give to alts yes. How about making it so we can redeem face on tcs in any location then? So I don't have to walk my main to wherever that way I can use the tc.

Don't understand why it isn't like that already. Is it an exploit of some sort?

I'd like to prompt a revisit to earning "my first tc." Frankly, even though there might be some miffed feelings, caps will fend for themselves and figure out what they wanna do. However, a new player that we want to hook on face is less likely to pop $25 to test things out.

I'd hate to pop $25, use one tc for face - and even add in using one for gold- but then decide face isn't worth it and it doesn't make the game better enough for me to stick with it. In deciding not to return, I've lost $15 for no reason.

I support some way to earn face time in game. One time only, ever, for any toon made after x date if we need that type of restriction. This option could be possible only up to level 50, so that there is even less interest in trying to find an exploit. A prompt of "are you sure you want to activate your paid time now?" with a blurb about 'this is what you get' and 'once you start your paid time you cannot stop it' (just in case someone achieves the free time but has a business trip to take the next day, idk).

Starter ideas to earn face time could be: complete x number of quests, complete x number of accomplishments, reach x level... maybe a non-legendary task can be implemented for this purpose... They could one day, one week, x hours.

blah blah... ramble ramble..
tldr, I do not want the initial cost increase to be an obstacle to gaining long term new players.

Can u add buy 100 get 75 free ? Why not make a great change better ? Can u also up the % of exp. the more you buy? Lets say double exp at 100 ?

Agreed. If the reasons for the change (tax/gov't/forms etc.) were posted on here before the changes actually took place i wouldn't have complained at all the other day because I understand it's a business.

Also, I fully support the idea of a way for new/low level accounts to earn a one-time only trial face time like you mentioned. My main concern with this change was when considering new players that might want to stick around.

Remember when glitch used to do christmas tcs or server downage reparations? If glitch did more than that, new players may be more interested in blissing once they discover the joys of buying combats off AH.

you can already get 100 + 50 free if u buy it twice. that's better than it used to be back in the old days...stop asking for OP stuff every day of ur life.
