Rating System
When was the rating system changed not to have the player with the most wins in first place?

Must be a bug. I'll get right on testing it.

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.
Just repeat for multiple effects.
DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

There wouldn't be a need for a rating system if the way it worked was based on whoever had the most wins.
Losses start to hurt you more and more as you reach higher ratings because the formula switches gradually from "win some, lose nothing" to Elo. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system

On s2 from the start of the arena until I stopped playing, if a player had for example 401 and the other payer had 400, the player with 401 would have a higher rating then the player with 400 regardless of the losses.

There's a link at the bottom of the existing hall of fame.

the retardation sometimes. if most wins matter...do you think the only ******* purpose of rating is tempers? there was a time before tempers required rating tho right? so back then it was just for looks? and how would rush teams exist if it was based on # of wins? obviously a team that queues 2 months won't have as many wins as ones who queue for 5 months. why do you think we have all been laughing at you and telling you all your queueing doesn't matter yet? or do you think you should get the same reward for beating level 20s as the arena champion?
jfc man. you've played nod for how many years? played arena for how many seasons?
i don't expect everyone to know as much as me about nod. but to not even know how tf arena works after years of participating, and even winning in it.
from s2 hall of fame
8 Warrior Umbra 2,725 575/78
9 Beastmaster Ghaloen 2,561 771/336
3 Archer Boobyrule 3,364 996/180
4 Rogue Shadedascout 3,355 1,341/735
2 Beastmaster Weapon Master Warrior Umbra 2,451 895/122'
8 Craftsman Regener Warlock Stitch 1,821 1,055/503
1 Warrior Umbra 3,880 3,010/764
4 Magician Beorn 3,397 3,025/257
i rest my case.
inb4 forums ban for rant.

Last season Kainith's team had the most wins. In fact, they got the most wins ever for a 3v3 premade season (4031). They finished second because the first place team which only had 3916 wins had the advantage of having 20x fewer losses.
Pedrowazup's team, famous for either botting or toon sharing to be online almost 24 hours a day often failed to win arena even though they had the most wins, finishing 5th in season 2, 3rd in season 3, and 2nd in season 4.
Just stop losing and you'll be good.

A majority of modern day video games and tournaments use the ELO system when it comes to rating. I'm honestly surprised you think that arena is just simply about who can win the most,...
There are other variables. Who can win the most, and beat the best players, the most times is what defines the ELO system the most, and if you keep losing to players you should otherwise beat, the losses will cost you more rating than you will gain.
You are level 90. adapt, and adjust, you have the potential to get high epic health, and uptier your gear. It's up to you to formulate strategies, against other players, in order to 1v3 the teams of this format. Think about all of the options you have,...
Use your cuddlebugs, spam shatter gems , taunt to support teammates, use samurai gear to kill the enemy squishies, use beneficial gems for your teammates I.e. deft draw rank 5, bogswamp resistance aura, etc. Use badgers to stack up gravebound % with your 2h, have at least 3 runesets , and 2 or more gem pouches for certain situations.
There is a lot of stuff man. if you have a 71% win/loss ratio ( which i am seeing on tops list at the moment) , you probably aren't using your toon to it's fullest capabilities, As a level 90. that being said man, adapt and adjust. don't take losses so hard, and don't expect for things to get easier from this point on, If you plan on getting top 10, that's fairly realistic, but if you are going for top 3, you may want to consider maxing out all your skills, running multiple setups, buying a lot of gems and practicing a lot. Because when you try, come rush I can guarantee you a lot of people will be putting in there 110%, I probably will too.
Can almost guarantee you, you will see Tsu, Alga, Demontamer, Blackpanther, Zodrack, Deathwitch, Thorin, myself, and a few others making it hell for you to compete in the top 10, nothing personal man but i'm just simply saying make use of what you got, you got a level 90, and time to prep for that. So try your balls off, no shame in running potions, or blissing. DO whatever it is that you have to do to make it harder on your competitors.
Just do keep in mind, as a level 90 you do have the upper hand, in most cases. but do not get careless, you can still easily lose to a level 85, if RNG is bad or you mess up in combat by shattering wrong gem or w/e. You have an HP buffer, and a bigger stat spread, and a chance-based WW proc.
A bit of a rant, and advice/constructive criticism, I hope I didn't offend, because my intentions were to motivate you to gear up, get better, and try harder come rush. We all yearn for more competition in PvP, you should too. Not Easy wins my friend, use these hard-fought matches to motivate you. Best of luck to you and everyone else going for top 10.
P.S. it's easy to forget this is a game sometimes, I've done it. Tsu has done it, Demontamer has. Paulodjohn has, Raidens has,..... many others have taken losses seriously, or raged at one point or another. This may be the most frustrated arena format in the game, but at the end of the day, have fun.

Tbf I only really rage about arena when idiots don't know what they are doing. Which is why 1v1 and premade are the only enjoyable seasons. In this format you can't expect every person to carry a team, when noobs have less than 5k hp with full LG gear on... How am I meant to heal them to keep them alive? In this format I'm just testing heals, but it's so much better going dot in this format. I rage because people have no pvp adaption, no health, no dps, and no use to my team. 9 times out of ten I'm carrying noobs which is not what arena should be about. And the off chance I lose in a 3v1 but almost won, I get annoyed. As if I had rng with a mediocre team mates I'd win but there's too many scrubs in this format.
The strong shouldn't be punished for others being weak. Everyone who places in the top 30, hopefully myself included will want this season to be over as soon as possible. If kills my brain cells having to put up with this.

Pretty much this. This format is not fun for those who enjoy pvp/try to do well in it. Let me randomly pick who your team is, more often then not you dont know who they are, and have no way to communicate with them. Does that dder have 30k hp.... or 5k hp.. is that melee going to taunt.... or will they die in 1 hit. Its just frustrating as all hell. Flipping a coin is nearly the same thing as this format.
