Next season format

Considering that under no circumstance the arena length will be reduced and everyone complaining that arena gets boring, please consider having 2 arena queues at the same time: solo queue and group queue.
Proposal for next season:
1) 2 vs 2 premade - because everyone is requesting it for several years
2) solo queue (anon or not): 3 vs 3

Changes to arena systems:
1) top for individual rating: influenced by both solo and group arena participation
2) top for group rating (premade): gathered in the premade arena only
3) characters from a premade team cannot meet each other in solo queue
4) arena bonus for solo queue: increased after each fight
5) arena bonus for group queue: flat 10% like it used to be
6) maximum matches: 400 max limit, 40 per day increase. Fighting in arena will reduce the amount of matches individually, either solo or group arena. Once a team member has 0 matches left, the group cannot queue even if the other team members still have matches.
7) widget that shows the status of arena: queued and fighting amount of teams and individuals.
8) Tourney thing only for solo arena: it will be hard to synchronize teams to participate at a certain hour of a day, disqualifications due to not being present during tourney will create a lot of drama (i'm against tourney for premade formats)


Please give constructive feedback, not just stating that the queue will be slow.
In my point of view, having both team based and individual queues at the same time will enable higher amount of people to participate in arena, either both or solo/premade.
If you do a check, you will see that there are active characters that either are not queuing up during solo (cause they like premade) and vice versa: not queuing up during premade and prefer solo.

If you really want to do 3v3 anon, please get rid of the Anonymous part of it, and just make it a random 3v3 queue.

Why not do a 3 v 3 premade and a 1 v 1 solo every season, give players the choice, can only enter 1 tournament per season, due to the length of the seasons 3 v 3 pre made is difficult, different time zones, people not being online etc etc, thanks for reading.

We barely have enough people for one arena, splitting that into 2 will completey kill both, so I'm not for it at all, but other than that, whichever format is fine, maybe even 2v2 for some new experience and exploit findings

Opinions like: not enough players for 2 parallel queues without a proper test or some concrete numbers are not what i asked for.
Glitch stated something like there is no way a shared hosting will hold 750 players online, i guess 750 is the top amount of people being online at peaks.
If from those 750 people, 1/3 is doing arena in solo or group queue, then there will be a lot of players / teams to generate fights.
Having live information about the queues (people/teams staying in queue) will help you decide which queue you want to join.
Of course there will be dead times for solo or group queues, but at least more people will be involved in arena due to having this option: solo or group queues.

@Glitchless: if you keep records on arena participation from previous solo queue and group queue arena seasons, please do a cross check to see which toons are doing both, solo only, group only and the number of fights that they made.
Or make this information public in order to create some stats with actual numbers.

The happy path of an individual during his play time will be:
1) login, check for premade arena buddies, none of them online: enter solo queue (increase persisted arena bonus, a lot of people are doing arena just for this ...)
2) buddies have logged in (enter group queue) stay in group queue (+10% flat arena bonus while in queue) burn rrt and fight other teams
3) buddies left, back to solo queue or quit for the day.

Having both solo and group queue, will eliminate the need of sharing accounts in order to fight in arena, thus less drama due to account sharing ...

brau. your suggestion seems quite thought out and well worded. i would support it. but like ex said. forget 750 players. we got roughly 750 toons on a good day. how many are silly alts that do nothing? people like psycho have 20 toons. none of which arena at all.

clans like merc/dacia have how many war alts they kill for dom? by the time you get down to arena. we got...200 toons? now let's say each person plays 8 hours a day (bit ambitious but w/e).

that'd split the number of toons into 3 timeframes. so roughly 67 toons can queue. now if everyone queued. that would be a solid 33ish toons in both queues. we'd be in good shape. albeit a bit small of a queue.

unfortunately. most of nod doesn't play for 8 hours a day. and even those that do. often won't queue that entire time.

now. if glitch did a trial run for say 2 weeks-1 month. with 2 formats at the same time. i would not be opposed to that. if it works out. kewl. if it doesn't. rip. but not a full commitment off the bat.

still. solid suggestion well thought out. aside from lack of playerbase i have no real critique.

For me the problem with 3v3 pre made is I don't like to share toons and I hate not being able to arena. This setup fixes both problems.

Lol, there were 193 teams of 3, there are plenty of toons for both, 3 v 3 is a top 10 ten tournament, don't need 193 teams for that.

My thought on new season,

2v2 is what many many of us want, it also changes things up. But a 2v2 premade, would be cancer. literally. make it a 2v2 random, NON anon, since anon is also cancer. if it works well, try a 2v2 premade, however 2v2 premade, would be say... healer + ww tank, deep in bonus, both switch to dps, gg.

also a 3v3 random queue, non anon. But 2v2 same formate would be much more enjoyable.
