now when you ask nodders about potion drops. they typically consider them as not even existing. I've personally had 1 in 7 years. others have had 3 in 6 years. but regardless. the numbers are pretty sad. (recalls and gates don't count).


now. as far as I know. the only potions that drop are r15s. (maybe lower ranks drop in lower zones? but they're so rare low levels basically never get them before they cap). even when they do drop. they're often 100% useless potions like potion of flames. or pst pot.



rather than making r15s drop like candy. just make it so caps can get any rank potions of any type. (afaik pilg potions and such have never dropped. and even if r15s dropped no one would be able to use really) (including jackopot/snowbrains). doesn't even have to be a stack of 105 or something.

the odds should still be low as to not hurt the potionmaker market much. but at least we'd get drops sometimes. and maybe that double potion drop bonus won't be such a joke.

When potions (including gates and recalls) started to drop there was a time when i was farming redwood one out of town and would BEG people to take free gates and recalls off me because i didnt have enough storage/inventory for them. Also i have personally had potion drops between rank 12 and rank 15 from AC pots to mitigation to useless pots like MRE MST and such. Then someone whined and moaned about how many gates and recalls they get and the drop rate has been severely reduced BECAUSE of gates and recalls and as far as glitch is concerned gates and recalls are potions too (don't be racist towards pot )

I've gotten two (non-gate/recall) pot drops, but on seperate toons. Both were r15s. It was neat, but certainly nothing to be excited about or look forward to or pay any attention to...

People already have way too high income and increasing it even further isn't a good idea in my opinion. Potions can be crafted easily enough.

Not counting recalls and gates, I have had potion(s) drop 4 separate times on 3 different toons out of 9 toons that I play. One was CNT r2, one was REG r3, one was MRE r4 and the last was two Blessings r6. The REG and Blessings dropped for the same character. These all occurred within roughly 2 years but with multiple breaks (many which were multiple months long).

What if the hotzone bonus was changed from a Double Potion Stack chance to just a bonus to the chance for potions to drop at all? Some higher level potions could be excluded if the bonus would be too OP regarding them or the amount of those kinds could be lowered if RNG does choose them.

I support making them more common, how about giving them an increased rate when fighting heroic mobs like twice as common as non heroic. This won't make them too much more common, but will give another reason to farm heroic and will increase them to a slightly more balanced amount without hurting potion crafters?
