if anyone wants to do more extensive testing they can but. basic guidelines of bestial sacrifice from my testing are:

It does not lower your max damage. if you hit for 2800 before. you'll hit for 2800 after. It lowers your min damage. Without bestial. my min damage I saw was approx. 1050. never once did I hit below 1k. with bestial. lowest I saw was approx. 650 crit? which crit is 1.5* multiplier. so that's 433 normal approx. bit under 60% lower min damage.

YOU WILL NOT ALWAYS HIT FOR THESE LOW NUMBERS. YOU JUST HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO. i'd say roughly 15% of hits are low hits? it varies. but due to still being able to hit for high damage. with just random low hits. your overall dps is lowered by roughly 9%.

tl;dr: should I raise the skill?
Do you pvp? Do you often fight dotters? then yes. I honestly believe 2-6k hp is worthwhile bonus for pvp. at the cost of 9% dps. (don't forget pvp damage bonus will compensate somewhat).
Do you only mob/boss farm "safe" zones like near fa'ar or ust? don't arena seriously? then why level it? 20% hp has no benefit for you. and you won't go below 50% hp so no penalty either. (technically it has 1 penalty. even more hp you need to heal for epic beasts).
Do you farm high end like fonr and sometimes go below half hp? do you also arena somewhat seriously? then in this case it's honestly personal preference. sacrificing some pve dps for a slight edge pvp. use your judgement.


some people may disagree. then go and do more extensive testing and prove your point. don't just say "omg I saw a 500 hit. he's lost 5000% dps." it's fine if i'm wrong with more tests proving that. but if you're just saying it's wrong to argue I won't bother responding.



Exact numbers on a t1 melee bm with 1 stalker 1 chippy:

hits varied based on fight but it was roughly 80 fungi mobs. (note that bestial sacrifice's pet gimping seems unaffected by level. didn't notice any change at different levels)

Without bestial sacrifice:

final: 1931 average crit
final: 1460.677 average non crit
final average: 1685.314


With bestial sacrifice:

final average crit: 1752 9.25% lower.
final: 1324.15 average non crit 9.3% lower
final average: 1547.454 8.2% lower

(% aren't 100% exact but within a few hundredths of it.)

the skill is ok...but since everyone gets free 10% hp and whip/pet users 20% then everyone should be maimed at a percentage of dmg,not just whip/pet users should be nerfed by the maiming thing of this skill...

*suddenly everyone delvls the skill and it becomes obsolete with all effort put into it useless* just like the good old prevent gems back in april
