Default Gold Minimum

Tsu, Fatty and I, perhaps a couple others, were batting about an idea for minimum gold find in chests. Currently, caps can get just a few hundred in higher zones, farming solo with maxed treasure sense/max coinage/language. It can feel a little insulting in light of the work. lol

I don't want to break the system with this, but say a way to incrementally raise your lowest amount possible. I'm not good at the Nod maths, so someone else can figure that part.... lol Any numbers mentioned are just place holders. I didn't think it should be super simple, so I was thinking about Rumpelstiltskin. With the straw, gold thread, 3 days of 3 guesses each for his name, the bribes of ring/necklace/first born, etc. I thought about it being a pilgrim related skills, but then was more on the selfish side and wanted to work on it before I get to pilgrim. >,> >,<

Using the last five categories in skills, where there is the most room to add skills and this not really falling under other categories, I thought about adding interconnected skills - one per category. For example, Crafting could have a straw skill where gathering say tier 5 and down (which so many caps just trash anyway) then loading an enchanting rod full (600 pieces) will give you a skein of yarn. One hundred skeins taken to the seer will give you exp in an Artistry skill seer homage. Doing only low tier items for seer conversion will bypass the worry of the collection skill being an issue.All eight resourcing skills must reach level 20 to unlock a social skill of mercantile. Mercantile can be, of course, be raised with gold transactions, but not any that are only gold. There must be gold on one side and item(s) on the other. As this raises, an adventuring skill, losers weepers, that actually effects your minimum finds can be worked on with 10k increments every 10 levels or w/e.

Convoluted yet? lol
More simply have max coinage/treasure sense/language all capped to unlock Mercantile in social and Losers Weepers in adventuring.

TL;DR: Several skills, ya know - work and effort, to earn a minimum amount found in chests.

So a shambles of a beginning idea for the other Nodders/Glitch to mull on and create actual sense of. Thanks!

Ty for tl;Dr cuz it really is tl;Dr for me. Around rumplestiltskin part. Overall don't really feel we need more gold in the game. Just more inflation.

imo the simper solution would be to increase min gold and reduce max, to make the rng...less rngish :[

Good idea but way too complicated.

I agree that something either skill , rune or item could raise min gold found in chests.

Indeed getting 3k after 2 min fight with capped gold skills feels disappointing and I saw people logging off because of that.

@Blaze : this would not cause any problems as string toons only cates for those big rushes . It would only help struggling beginners to raise some funds for better gear.

If bad roll occurs at rate of 10% then raising it by 1k gold (doubled for low - mid areas) it will be barely noticed by economy and gold injection to the game would be ~0.1 % or so because decent GR would be better than 100's of those low chests.

In short : support easy way to increase min gold (bad rolls only) but have to be accessible for noobs as I believe it will bring a lot of interest

they aren't talking about zones like nlake joanna. they're talking about fonr level if i know my tsur ;o actual high level mobs.

Correct... like Pit and higher - 100ish level mob/boss and up.

I almost included this to start with level 85. I did not have in mind brand new, nub caps; More like the solid caps of a couple years or more who have likely already had language/max coinage/treasure sense capped for a bit. I don't know the coding side of things either.... but maybe age of a toon, or length of time at 85 and up, could be a factor? [sorry Raven and Orence, etc :P]

I presented all the complicated blabber because I'm hungry for more and new, but a simple low cap on 100 level mob/boss rng gold would be the super simplest line of attack, I guess.
