Dec 30 is NOT the very last day of the year, Dec 31st is :P
Also if you find a %xx passive zone and you stay in it and log out your toon does that % passive remain valid or not?

" i do not mean afk and close browser, i mean actually log out using the log out button, thus causing me not to be able to show up on the map and not have my stuff up in AH.

just wondering if you over looked server disconnected the char a reapplying bonus's on account of new area's

Exploitable, since one might not log in for a year but still get passive xp bonus when the zone/town that person is in gets that bonus. At least make it so that the bonus cycle doesn't kick in until the person has logged in. When bonuses reset, the person won't get any if they haven't logged in since.

If they don't log on, they don't extend the bonus by any significant margin. There's some granularity involved, it's not accurate to the minute, but you won't get more than 2 days benefit if you log off in a passive bonus zone.
Similarly, you could log off in a zone with no bonus for a year and that zone could then have a passive bonus a few times for you and even tho you never logged on, you'd get the passive bonus from the zone on those days.
