Hybrid Fast/Slow Arena Rating
At first glance this arena patch fix looks better than what was implemented earlier. Now is the time for comment before it gets put in place.  Glitchless, thank you for taking our feedback and adjusting!

Rating system seems fine. Will still favor those who can arena 24/7, but that's always been true to a degree.
The one thing mentioned in Civil that was really interesting is implementing a non-eligibility to winner(s) of the previous season. This would go a long way towards fixing the imbalance on S2.
This season it's what, top 9 win an item? Last season was top 3? So make the top 3 from last season ineligible and the top 9 from this season.

although after further thought on this, thire would have to be some sort of alternative for the top 3 teams let them compete and not apear on list and can only get tcs or dont let them compete and they have arena bonus for farming all season long? but not being able to get any tc wouldnt be fair. so maybe let them compete and no matter what they achieve for rating they can not get into top 3?

Uhm, why? I mean what would be the point of forbidding people who were top3 to be top3 again of they are top3 material? It's like punishing someone for being good. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

It's like if someone won gold medal on Olympic games in 2008 in Beijing, he wasn't allowed to win gold medal in 2012 in London (but he can compete)

I bet if that gold medal gave the athlete an advantage over the other athletes the IOC would consider doing that until the playing field was at least given a chance to level. Let's compare apples to apples, mmkay?
I'm not crying either, but when arena simply stops when certain people queue because it's no fun, well... something needs to change. |

Sam and Sad are 2x of the top players on s2. I do not support the idea of excluding the winners from this season. But I would support it for next season if it would help bring the Nod community together. It would give me a break too lol. I took first place in 3v3 twice and once with all 3x of my own toons. I can see why the first place winner should be put aside for 1 season. But not this season lol. After all we are well into this season and am in first place. To exclude me at this point would really be unpleasant. Also I don't support the idea of the top 3 being excluded. If a person comes in second it would give them a chance to win next season with the first place winner out of the way. Also, if this is to work all the toons of the first place winner would need to be excluded.
If it does happen, it should happen on both servers. Thorin has dominated on s1 as much as I have on s2. If I am to be excluded from the arena for a season then the winner of s1 should be too.

What kind of advantage you recieve? A lg that is worth 25 30mil gold that everyone else can get? In order to win you invest a lot more than the prize itself.
Person winning medal gets prize too so comparison is relatively good.

Ah, there's the disconnect Excellence. Not everyone can get it on S2. Basically just 1 maybe 2 persons.
And Pale, I really didn't expect Glitch to exclude this season, but I'm willing to make the sacrifice.

I have not used anything I got so fare from the arena in the arena so no advantage sadly. 
I have hopes I may get something I want this season but to date I have not. |
