99 epics drop as items

I know this has been suggested before but i cant find the thread.

With the release of LG crafting the item market has completely shifted from crafting 99s to crafting LGs therefor there are no 99s on the market for people to use. a person who has no LGs on any toon and starts leveling to cap gets to cap and is stuck using 88 gear or 99 rares with his level 89 71 81 75 64 84 or 74 69 gear (highest epic for 1h crush 2h crush 1h slash 2h slash 1h pierce 2h pierce whips and staff) til they can afford to spend 20m+ on a lg which will be ridiculously hard to farm with that low level of gear. the other option is to be lucky find someone who hasnt dusted a weapon tp and spend 10m to craft it which again will be ridiculously hard to farm with that level of gear

it would be nice if 99 gear dropped as items ...at least occasionally maybe 1/4 of the time rather than the 1/2 of other levels but anything that allowed 99 epics to be in the game again would be nice (maybe exclude gems as gems are still the best of their type)

id support a very low chance of them dropping as items, otherwise down the road we'll just have another bad dust shortage like before.

side note, might be better not to refer to consumables as tp when asking for a change to them

tp stands for temporary plan when asking for a change to them >_>. and i considered this too would have to either make a dismantled 90+ drop worth the full 3 dusts or implement another dust mechanism

have never heard it called that, but is def a lot nicer than the original meaning (toilet paper). so we'll stay with that

99 epics were tp only because they were the best. The tp only (for 99's) update was put in place even before people had epic 99 gear.

The goal of the tp only update was to make the epic 99 gear that much more special and exclusive. Obtaining it would be a greater accomplishment as the item itself would have to be crafted.

The goal was not to have a plentiful supply of dusts for legendary crafting (legendary gear was non existent when 99's were made tp only). Even if the dust supply were to fall and dust prices were to go up, I see it as a good thing. Dyes are already through the roof so why not dusts as well.

With the advent of legendary gear, having 99's as tp only is a relic of the past that serves no real purpose. It should be changed. It is not worthwhile to craft most of the 99's and having them as tp only just limits their usage. The 99 epics should drop as actual items at times and as tp's at times (like every other epic does).

This has been suggested before though. Has my support again. I think that most folks would agree.
