Question Potion of Stone

I've been querying other archers on this and no one seems to know. All have said they assumed the term "weapons" meant archery included but none have tested.

I'm wondering if ranged attacks are penalized by a 10% nerf in damage when "under the influence" of this potion.

The rank 15 Potion of Stone description reads:

"This potion mitigates 33% of all damage taken but also reduces your weapon pet and direct damage by 10% and lasts for 1 hour real time while rested time is being consumed"

Can someone clear this up? Some one who is not guessing but knows for sure? Glitch? I'd test myself, but I'm not talented enough in that area...with the range of damage possible, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell if I am simply just hitting the medium-low end of the damage spectrum or being affected by a pot. Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Yes, archery attacks are weapon-based damage.
