I'm fine with it as long as it isn't anonymous, cause the two opponents can just PM each other rather than spamming chat. And the tanks better have a backup build ready in case of another tank.

i do like the idea of 1v1 arena and seems like it will be lots of fun but those invested into being a dedicated tank or healer will have their builds made basically obsolete which is somewhat saddening.. I am also against anonymous arena, seeing who you are killing would definitely enhance the experience. I am curious to see whether there is a variety of strong builds or just one sided.

"One of two systems..." This new 1 vs 1 is a third system. So, would this mean that we will be jumping around between 3, 4, or more different Arena systems, Glitch ?

Please fulfill the promise of having polls regarding which arena format players prefer. Might be tricky to do, but a separate poll must be done for S2. Because whether anyone likes it or not, S2 is completely different than S1 in Arena. With a much smaller player base and far less equipment available to those players, S2 has a completely different Arena experience.

Is like in box match... for healer/tank match... who will hit harder or many time then other, in 10 minutes of fight... will win :P

Thanks Glitchless for true 1v1. It will return Nod to the Friday night duals on the Troll Bridge. I to think it being anonymous is a bad idea. 1v1 gives each player a true look at their pvp build. If anonymous, it hurts a player's ability to learn what builds his toon is good or bad against; hence, making it more difficult to get class specific pvp feedback on build construction.

A nice add-on may be a global message saying who is in the match and who won. For example: "Pale crushes Tro in the arena".

I don't understand what the purpose will be. Isn't this just queuing for duels? We can already duel on demand.
Unless there's going to be some normalization done?
