Red woods silk drop

There was few post about silk being not in pair with other resources .

Sadly its only resource we cannot gather when we need it (hopefully it will change) and have to hope for RNG gods to smile on us .

Since people not paying much attention to it and i'm stubborn statistic freak i did made a log of every silk dropped lately for me in red woods and i think its out of balance considering zone.

9 , 19, 15, 7 , 5 , 8 , 13, 1 , 3 , 16 , 2, 15 , 9 , 4, 4 , 10 , 15 , 9 , 18 , 10

uptiering all those end up with single t26 .

This includes 531 mobs killed in little over 11 h duo farming (66h rrt each 132h total or roughly 19 TC's )

I'm trying to put my hands on silk to continue production but there is nothing you can do - even if i burn 10 TC's a day ill stil get nowhere.

on other hand EVERY resource guarantee me more than 1 t30 (directly or uptiered) just to burn daily rrt resourcing.

My opinion is that silk is lacking in this game and its out of balance - new minigame perhaps would fix this problem if its the plan .

at least i would have a chance to gather it every mob and hopefully get some decent pulls.

Unless its intended to artificially limit progress i think it should be fixed.

Its not about randomness - i got stack of 72 t29 pro spider trapping changes so im getting lucky once in a while as well - however we have no option to focus on it.

if you know anything about programming - RNG plays small role in success compared to formula used to it .

Let me indulge you:

example 1:

roll number from 1-1000 - if x >995 then drop t30 if x <100 drop t1
chance to drop t30 is 0.5% and t1 = 10%

example 2:

roll number from 1-1000 if x>980 then drop t30 if x<80 drop t1
chance to drop t30 is 2% and t1 is 8%

As you can tell its same RNG but chance of getting t30 is 4x greater

taking it to extreme:

roll number 1-1000 if x<30 then tier = x if x>=30 then tier =30
still same RNG , same randomness but will poop t30 97% at a time .

This sounds horribly familiar, this was an issue years ago, we all whined and complained, eventually we got spidertrapping (which in my opinion made it worse). Now ST gives +1 this will help, but there is still a silk shortage. Perhaps over time the +1 to tiers will help. Simple solution of course is just increase silk drop rate, but then people might complain about that also

I really don't want to look like hater, but when I farmed redwood week or so ago I did get plenty of t26-28.. Again, it might be bad luck? Don't know..

the thing is people get extremely lucky from time to time - its true but they go dry fpr another weeks/months.

my point is even silks is most used resource - availability of it is no near compared to any other resource.

yes it does drop but even uptiering wont get you anywhere when you need to work with tiers t26 and up. Yes its enough of it for mid tier items or potions but after all everyone aims for high epics or legendary gear.

Acceleration and Double Acceleration along with virtues (full paid option) changes dramatically speed you progress. its unfair that people who has no upgrades and do it slow have everything available for their level while people who invest in toon has to hit the wall and unable to progress .

Crafting stuff sounds better for me than grinding bosses all over for gold and buy store bought armor pieces for uptier .

Nodiatis used to be perceived as game of lots of possibilities and diversity.

Everyone can find something in it - whether it is pvp - gold hoarding , resources collection or crafting.

You free to focus on every aspect of game and always get what you aiming for except silk supply which completely doesn't depend of player.

its not a temporary observation - its been going for months . S2 for example has stacks of 100's of t30 resources but there is no use of it as you simply cannot make consumable recipies.

I just hope coming minigame is silk gathering game

Silk is still far cheaper than other resources, and available on the AH. What exactly are the metrics you're using to say that silk is less available than these other resources?

He wants to be able to craft more lg's on s2. The lack of t30 silk prevents them from making as much as they want. They increased the speed of the game 36x with all the boosts and tried to become super strong in a short time, now they hit a brick wall silk shortage because the server hasn't even been around long enough to acquire a surplus. They do not want to wait for the surplus to build and they want the ability to craft the lg's which are only being held back by the lack of silks.

As it stands the only lg's that exist are morphed or the actual drops from beasts/arena which allows the same people to keep winning and killing beasts. With such a low population the power difference between people might even be worse than S1.

Silks aren't so cheap if you incalculate rrt you have to spent to drop 4 for one t30 cloth. Over last 105 silk drops I had one t27 drop. Think of it how much time it gets to get 105 silk drops.

TL;DR? There is one worthy drop: 90 of t28 silks, quite recent. Second highest, iirc is 54 of t24. These are all drops on my toon according to its log, and first record there is from 10/6/2014. Total of 296 drops.

Its not correct sir if it comes to S2.

I was playing on S1 and remember times where I was getting stack of rare silks literally every other mob from N lake and up. At some point I accumulated over 500 t30 silks. Then people start complaining it drops too often and you patched it makes it drop way less often - then was spider trapping.

On s2 for all players it was less than 10 drops above t27.

I know you believe in proofs and solid back up if it comes to numbers.

Here it is what I mean:

3 people crafting 3 different things
(We put dyes behind as those easiest to get)

1 use 5bones and planks and 24 t30 silks
2 use 5 threads and plants and 24 (+10) t30 silks
3 use 5 scales and ingots and 24 t30 silks

3 items were created - 5 of each t30 resources were used opposed to 82 silks to create to and some used as main ingredient.

Every resource can be farmed every fight and you can choose to go after it if you need it. Silk drops randomly and usually in very low tiers.

In order to raise crafting skills you need to craft tons of items just to sell it to store in exchange for experience and every single item regardless what it is requires silk (consumable)

I can assure you there is no silk at S2 ah - if it was I would get it right away.

I own most lg pieces together with my friend and yes we are OP compared to 95% of people.

The thing is we don't want to hold monopoly and keep all the goodies for ourselves. We believe everyone should have a chance to get copy of dropped lg. That's why you allowed master to drop right ?

I'm not asking for myself because I was one of luckiest players to get great gear.

There is lots of people who deserve end game gear as well. I can assure you only reason s2 ah has very few items its because lack of silks to create them.

If you could give it a little thoughts I would appreciate it.
Game in general is awesome and it could be even grater if we flatten a bit this speed bump

Silks are like a boxes for company to pack their products.

Usually you should be able to get lots of boxes to fill them with product you making over time.

If you making production but run out of boxes - you have a problem. We have this scenario here.

Silk is the box and other resources are product.

I have over 100 t30 dyes (over 200 plants) and can uptier to maybe to 2-3 t30 threads . while I should be able to find 400 silks t30 in the time I did plants to keep it in balance .

I have 100 items that need 100 boxes. I just have one good one and one broken at this point.

That where the problem is.

Whole s2 server facing same issue. Can you talk to packaging company to at least send material for it and we will put them together ourselves.

We don't want fish , we want fishing rod. We don't want it easy - we want it possible or at least in pair with other resources.

And what's your drops on s2?
S1 doesn't count as market is overloaded with them since people have them stashed from good days when getting high tiers was easy.

My toons on S1 has tons of them from days back.

S2 never saw those good days.

And yeah 90 t27 looks kinda wow but in fact its not even half what you need for 1 lg. You got very lucky with t29 that is enough for 2 items .

For crafter 1 item crafted a week is nothing. And your case is extremely rare.

The solution should be to lower the chances of high tiers on every ressources and to drop less lg, so they have time to get enough silks for their needs.
